Phillips Beth Israel Applicants

Published

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....

I am pretty interested in the Spanish, but I am in the three-year program. I'm going to ask if I can join. I think I would be low priority though if it's a popular class.

Thanks sara & snuneet! That's what I remebered - it was more to guauge how effective the class was. I can't believe we're less than a month away - so excited & nervous all at the same time. Anyone else in the Weds A&P lab or Tues Nursing Lab/Thurs Clinicals?

I've got tues lab, monday clinicals.. tues/wed lecture. :)

hey all did everyone get the CPR email? is anyone going to the 9/15 class?

Yup! I'm signed up for 9/15 :)

What's everyone doing for the PDA requirement? I have an android phone and really don't want to have to buy a PDA. Anyone know what exactly the requirements are for school?

Also, I noticed the CPR classes aren't until September. Does this mean clinical hours don't start until at least October 1st?

Thanks!

i'd like to know that too.

i have a droid x so i hope thats sufficient.

they said clinicals wont be in the hospital for the 1st few weeks.

They already mentioned that we won't be doing the clinicals the first few weeks. PDA stuff will probably discussed next week during orientation since PS told us we could even wait until orientation to buy books...

They said at the registration orientation that they would cover topics such as the PDA, essential books to buy etc at the main orientation. It may not leave us much time to buy everything though.

Does anyone know when the Math for Medications challenge exam will take place? I received the review packet today, but the date is not listed.

Hi All! I'm sooo jealous of all your exciting registration stuff, since I'm stuck in limbo until January. Anyone here for the evening tract? (not like I haven't asked a million times!)

Anyway, I signed up for the 9/15 CPR class too! Did anyone here take ethics at FLCC? I'm starting it at the end of the month. Congrats and good luck to you all!

Found out that at least one PDA version is compatible on the android OS, but it's the third edition (not the 2nd one listed). Maybe I'll just wait until orientation until I buy everything. I already estimated my books being around $800 and I'm only taking 14 hours, YIKES
