PHCC Fall 2013 hopefuls

Just wanted to see who all is applying for any program in the fall.

I'm going to be applying for the generic RN and LPN program for backup.

Specializes in Telemetry/Med-Surg/Periop101.

Heydanixo, what was your Teas, Pre-req GPA, and Cum. GPA? If you don't mind me asking. I'm thinking about seeking a Teas Tutor...not certan yet though....

Well I really screwed up. Someone told me you can apply with different scores. So I sent in my first score which was a 55. Then I got a 66 and they told me oh you can't do that. So my 66 went for the rn because I didn't use that for lpn. My Gpa was a 3.0 but I wasn't planning on getting into rn so I'm not upset about that.

I found out today that there was over 200 applicants for the RN program.

Just found out today I got accepted into the Generic RN program!!!!! So excited:)))

Rejected for all three. So July 15th new applications will be mailed. I can take the teas one more time so maybe I will try that. I've thought about meeting with a private school just to see what they say. But I have heard not as many people apply for January so I really don't know right now :( good luck to those still waiting.

So july 15th new applications will be mailed? Im confused. But im planning on looking into other schools and possibly retaking my teas test to apply to phcc again.

I'm not sure how many alternates they pick, but I got a phone call yesterday from PHCC asking if I had got my letter yet, that they had mailed it Tuesday. I said no. She said that the letter was telling me I was an alternate but she said to disregard it when I got it because someone had already turned down their spot and I was first or next on the list and she asked for a verbal acceptance and then emailed me the candidate response form that I immediately filled out and faxed back. Oh, and when I checked the mail, there was the letter lol :-) They are really on the ball at PHCC because shortly after that phone call someone else from PHCC called and signed me up for A&PII & Lab because if you haven't already taken it you have to take it the 1st semester of the program.

Thank you snl7 and I'm sorry you didn't get accepted. Don't give up!!! I had a back up plan in case I didn't get in. If you can, take the TEAS again if your score wasn't what you wanted. I have a friend who didn't get in and she is applying at Rasmussen. I had checked into Keiser at one point but they are way to expensive. Just don't give up!! Pick yourself up and move on to the next step. I'll be praying for you :up:

Thank you! Can i ask your gpa and teas score? And.yeah im debating on takingthe teas test again, i got a 67.3 or just look into Rasmussenmyself. I

Yes you can reapply starting July 15th and it ends sometime in September. My fiancé really wants me to try again before jumping ship and running to Rasmussen. I just am really confused right now. I will most likely retest because I have one more shot for the teas. 1st time was 55, then 66, hopefully I can get it up again lol.
