PHSC 2017 Fall Nursing
Hey I know it's early and y'all don't know if you're accepted yet but I've got every book plus some extra study guides, including pharm phlash pharmacology flash cards, to get you through the program for sale. I started the program at west campus in 2013 and graduated May, 2015. My wife used the books and just graduated last week. Some books are certainly used more than others and I'll give a detailed description with pictures for anyone interested. We're moving out of state at the end of June and want to get rid of them. So to be clear these most likely are not the current editions but they work just fine. Hit me up if you're interested. I'd like to get rid of them as a set....asking $200

Please help me.. PHCC Nursing
The only advisor I would recommend speaking to is Laura Raposa. She's the best and will absolutely steer you in the right direction. There are a few different paths to nursing at PHCC. If you want to get an Associates Degree in Nursing with RN then you can either go Generic RN or start off in the LPN program. If you choose the latter, once you get your LPN license you can apply to transition over to the RN. You then have to re-apply and get accepted to two programs. The programs are indeed very competitive. The pre-reqs you need to get into the Generic RN program are Micro - Apps, Psych, Science of Human Nutrition, and A&P I plus Lab. This is all on phcc.edu too. You may want to check the thread called PHCC hopefuls to get an idea of the GPA and score on the TEAS test to see what can get you in / or who didn't get in with what. From what I remember, I believe there was a 3.0 GPA 67 on the TEAS that didn't get accepted....but a 3.6 and 71 that got in. LPN route is strictly TEAS to get the Practical Nursing license....then if you want to go RN, you have to have quite a few more classes to apply for the transition program. Seriously, check with Laura after school starts, i'm sure they're crazy busy right now and by the sounds of things, there is no chance for you to get any classes this semester anyway. If you can.....get all of your pre-reqs done, and do your best to get A's. I haven't had any luck with other advisors there.

After going to financial aid and finding out only my books and tuition are covered, I went up to the Lab Assistant that said she had extra uniforms. They had 2 sets of scrubs in my size...FREE! The patches were already on it, on the upper left side. I can get a picture and send it to you if you want.

Awesome. Thanks. I got my BLS for Healthcare done in Holiday. Also found a new doctor for my physical and ppd. I'm going to the health department for immunizations. Dr's office could've done titers but I need to get re-immunized. MMR is $75 and Varicella is $101 at the health dept.

I'm working on getting set up for this right now....Registration in WISE is not available right now so I've got a call in to the school, awaiting a callback. For your physicals / vaccines / etc - are you doing them at your normal family doctor or do you know of any better options?

While we wait....let's try to organize a list of what we applied for and what are pre-req gpa / TEAS scores are. This way we don't have to read back through all the posts to see where we stand. Just copy and paste the following into a Reply adding your info if you wish.
