PHCC Fall 2013 hopefuls

Published

Just wanted to see who all is applying for any program in the fall.

I'm going to be applying for the generic RN and LPN program for backup.

Oh geesh I was hoping to hear something today! My mail doesn't come until 4 so I'm still waiting..

I really can't wait until July 3rd that is just too long.

Nothing today. :(

I'm truly starting to think everyone who was accepted already received their letters!

Well it seems I'm a little late to this site and to this thread. It was in my own personal anxiety and frustration that I went hunting for any kind of feedback possible RE: PHCC fall 2013 nursing acceptance! So first of all..a huge congratulations to all those who have been accepted to their program of choice. I'm still with those, who are still waiting. I got a 75% on the TEAS and have a 3 point something prerequisite GPA. I have been an LPN for over a decade and I also have an AA, so the transition/bridge/ADN program was the next step for me. I'm eager to see how this week plays out and I am of course willing to share my news one way or the other! To all those still waiting...keep up the faith! :)

Okay, those who have your packets and are working on them if you live in Hernando County you can get your immunizations at the Health Department. They will do a PPD screen but only give it to you if you meet there requirement which is basically not any of us. I called PHCC to see what they want us to do and she said that we could just get a chest xray that checks for PPD with report and that will suffice. They also do not do physicals which is weird but I heard pasco county does them (not sure if that is true).

I know my doctor's office will do them and they are not that expensive....596-1770.

For those waiting still...I hope you get your letters real soon.

Still nothing?? Has anyone received denial letters ? Are they gonna make us wait until the others accept or reject a program?? If so we won't hear for at least a couple more weeks..

Nothing for me today. Those who have been accepted have they told you the orientation date yet?

PPD $15 at Care One. They do physicals and titers cheap. This is where I got everything for the LPN program two years ago.

Orientation for RN is 29 Jul and I think LPN is 30 Jul from 9-12

Where is Care One?

There are a couple in Hernando. Their website is careoneofflorida.com
