  1. Hey all, congrats on getting accepted to the program!!! :) I just graduated with my RN in May. I have ALL practically brand new books still ( I bought only 10 months ago at PHSC and barely used them) for the nursing program. I also have a never used lab coat, phsc shirt for school events, and lots more!!! If anyone is interested in buying them for a cheap cheap price (cheaper than any website would sell you at a used price) then email me at [email protected]. My books are just sitting here waiting to be used.
  2. I just graduated from the RN transition program and I have just about everything you would need for it (lab coat, PHSC shirt for special events that I only wore once, brand new blood pressure cuff, uniforms that have ink pen stain on the pocket because I bent over with the pen in my pocket lol, and every book etc.) Size small. If anybody is interested in a bundle of stuff for a much cheaper price than retail then let me know! :) I was going to resell everything back to the school but I figured that the school would only try to make a profit out of it so I'd rather sell myself.
  3. BTW I am in the Transition program
  4. The facebook group does not show up
  5. I graduated from the LPN program in March 2012. I've been an LPN since December 2012. I have worked in pediatric home care with children who are on ventilators, have trachs and g-tubes. One of my scary experiences- I will never forget when I was changing my pts Trach ties (by myself and the parents were not home) and the trach popped out when she made a sudden movement (expect a baby to not stay still lol) and my 11 month old pt turned blue, very quickly. Let me tell you that is more terrifying to see on a child than an adult. But of course I got the trach back in immediately, which can be hard to do on a baby and without lubricant.
  6. Perfect!!! Thank you so much!!! Yes I have 9 because it is the transition program. I am assuming that lab counts.
  7. thank you but I am confused on how to calculate my pre req GPA only lol I have taken so many classes so I'm not sure how to calculate only specific classes together.
  8. Hmm So how do I calculate that? I have 5 As and 4 Bs. Do they calculate that as one semester?
  9. There must have been a lot of transition students who applied this year! :/ I am sorry
  10. I am sorry I feel your pain, you're not alone. @Risky Wow I never knew that. That is great to know. Looks like I will apply to both next year. I will be working really hard these next 10 months to improve my scores and GPA! We can do it! If we can make it through LPN school and NCLEX, then we can make it through this!
  11. That is a great question!! Do they only look at your pre-req GPA or your overall GPA for the program?
  12. Congrats to Rosey and able!!! Happy for you! BTW, able? Was that you that emailed me in regards of my literature book listed on craigslist? Just curious since they had the same name as you lol
  13. Yes, you can. But you will still have the old grades on your transcipts and they will still count towards your GPA. Just like the F I have for a class I never attended with them, I actually received an A when I did actually take the class (in a different school). Unfortunately, the F still brings down my GPA. Or you can take any additional classes you haven't taken. I plan on taking Public speaking and Sociology online. I am not sure if you have taken those yet?
  14. Ohh no I am so sorry. and I seen you got a 77% on your TEAs. There must have been alot of people who applied with high scores :/ I thought for sure you would get in!
