Well, I am finished with the pre-reqs, as of December. Have taken the TEAS once but will take it again. I have met with a few advisors and one prof in the nursing dept on East. I cannot get any clear and concise information really and it's frustrating. My GPA is relatively low, comparatively (sp?) and I am trying to guage my actual chances of getting into the program. I am only applying to PHCC (either campus) and the not knowing is killing me.
So where is everyone else? I am ready to get my stuff turned in. And then the wait.
Right on Chris...basically means you sit out a semester since you always apply at least 1 semester early (at HCC and SPC even more so). Sorry to hear you won't be joining me and some of the others for the time being. Let us know what happens with everything. At least we're in an area where there are many options.

Fo' shizzle! ;-) lol
I had an 82 on the TEAS, I also was an alternate for the day program, I got that letter today, so at least one seat will come open because I am declining one of them... just not sure which one yet. And after reading Chris post, I am wondering if I should just wait and do the Jan 2011 RN... I am pretty sure I will have a 4.0 when my summer classes are finished for the pre req... but I don't want to take a chance of not getting accepted.... so frustrating!

Long, I don't think it matters where you are in your co-reqs (I am finished in 3 weeks with the last one) Here is how she broke it down for me. Let's use this August as a start date:
August 10- July 11: LPN program.
~Aug/Sept 11: Sit for the boards
Late fall 11: receive lincense
Late fall-Aug 12: work as an LPN
Aug 12: start bridge program
May 13: gradute with RN degree
The reason it takes so long is because the LPN program is 12 months. Once you graduate LPN school, it takes a while to sit for your boards and get your license. Once that happens, since the bridge class only starts in August (as opposed to starting in Jan) you basically have to wait ~8 months for August to roll around to be able to start.
Does that make ANY sense the way I just typed it out?? LOL :-)
