You need 15 or more posts to be able to use the pm system

it can't be posted here i think. if you want, you can google it. just type DNRD PGH..

Back then PGH is dream hospital for me as well, but if you have other opportunities besides PGH please do consider it. Waiting time for PGH is comparable to the retrogression in the US. This month PGH has hired >10 new nursing staff. I just saw it in the bulletin board of the personnel deparment. The turnover (number of nurses resigning) rate is very minimal nowadays, this is a reflection of the depleting number of job opportunities of nurses abroad. Their may be job opportunities out there but they have imposed stricter rules in hiring Internationally-Educated Nurses. Again, consider other hospitals but don't loose hope. Canada is fast-becoming the favorite destination for PGH nurses (like me, hehe..). Hopefully they would hire more nurses from the Philippines so that those novice nurses out there who are jobless could land a job. God bless all of you in all of your applications. I was once jobless and I know the feeling.

girl, the dnrd just announced that they will not entertain applicants for now because the manpower pool is on its peak hence.. sad.. but if you really want to pursue PGH, you'll have to wait or probably finish a 1-2 year contract in another hospital before they call you for appointment of job... i took the exam at September 2008, got the result at November 2008 and had the panel interview last january 2009.. i passed the interview already and i am waiting for pgh to call me for the much awaited final interview.. but now, i just feel like forgetting it. it is like my impossible dream. but we can always wait. anyway, patience is a virtue.

hi xfactorgirl!

We're on the same boat waiting when our final interview with Deputy Director Rita Tamse will be. It's just that you had your panel interview a month before I had mine.

I went to the Nsg Services Office last month and Ma'am Cecil told me that they are currently processing those applicants who had their panel interview last September 2008. She assured me that the processing is slowly moving so we just have to wait til our final interview schedule with Ma'am Tamse.

For now, try to get as much trainings as you can and let's hope and pray that we'll finally be called for the final interview. God bless.

God bless all of you in the hiring process.. I'll see you soon at PGH! Let's share the toxicities and humor in the most prestigious public tertiary hospital in the Philippines!

hello everyone!!

May I ask please, what should be the board rating of those who wish to apply in PGH? And what other requirements to be qualify as an applicant.

Thank you so much to those who will reply.

]I don't think PGH has a preference that your board rating should be 80% and above but what I know is that your board rating and GWA has certain percentage earned in their point system. I remember when I had my panel interview and after the interview, I was told to come back after a few minutes. I was called inside the conference room and there were about 7 other applicants inside the conference room. They let us sign in our evaluation sheet and I unintentionally saw the percentage allotted for board rating and GWA. I just forgot the exact percentage but I think it is 15% or 30%. There was even a percentage for grooming.

If your board rating isn't that high, you can compensate with the trainings or volunteer experience that you have undergone. Good luck and God bless. :yeah:

]Thanks gambutrol for the encouragement though I'm losing hope already about working at PGH because of the waiting time. I guess what I can do is hope and pray and pray. Sigh! :icon_roll

nars1019,

yup, prayers can move mountain.. you know what I did before PGH and Makati Medical Center started contacting for the hiring process, I worked at a local hospital near my residence.. I waited for several months before they called me for the interview.. I passed both but I have chosen PGH instead.. I guess if you have the option of working at a local hospital first before opting to work at PGH.. It was my dream to work at PGH back then so I've waited for PGH..

For all of the applicants, grab the first opportunity that comes in your way.. if PGH contacts you for the hiring process and if you're still interested then just transfer afterwards.. If your working experience is from a tertiary hospital for one year you'll be automatically considered for an N2 position and could also be considered for the different ICUs at PGH.. mind you there are dozen of ICUs and other specialty units at PGH.. We have SICU, CENICU, PICU, PACU, MICU, Neuro ICU, Neonatal ICU, NSSCU, SCU, Burn Unit, etc.. so if you have 1 year tertiary hospital you'll defiinitely be considered in our ICUs..

Thanks gambutrol. You're right, that was what the chairman and the members of the panel told us that we should continue to go on trainings and volunteer programs because of the 6 months (plus) waiting for the final interview. And if we are employed for one year from a tertiary hospital, then we could apply for Nurse II position for PGH. Unfortunately, it's difficult to apply for tertiary hospitals right now with the surplus of nurses.

I'm planning to go on volunteer training (again) in a government hospital (again) after my ACLS this July. And of course, ceaseless prayers and unseizing faith that my heart's desire will be answered by God.

God bless. :D
