Here is a personality test to see which area of nursing you may fit in with the best. It is 130 questions but it goes pretty quickly. They will ask you the same question multiple times which is normal.

Post your results!
My top three were rheumatology, general internal med, and hematology.
My top 4 were:
48: plastic surgery
47: neurology
47: neurosurgery
47: allergy & immunology
I can't imagine plastics, lol - my interests are nicu, peds onc or neuro icu. Of course, I start nursing school this fall so who knows how my areas of interest will change when I actually do clinicals. :)
I'm surprised by my results:
1 rheumatology 44
2 pulmonology 44
3 nephrology 42
4 hematology 42
5 otolaryngology 42
6 thoracic surgery 41
7 preventive med 41
8 occupational med 41
9 radiation oncology 41
10 anesthesiology 40
I had originally wanted to go into OB/Gyn but that was way down on the list. When I started nursing school in Jan I decided that I would have an open mind about what I wanted to do. I guess this is a good place to start then?!?! So would nephrology be dialysis? My instructor would love that, she LOVES the dialysis unit, works there in the summers.

Who knows? It could happen.
You'll laugh but I have connections ....my son will attend the Challenger Space Camp here this summer. One of the astronauts is a math teacher at my college
Real nice "down to EARTH" guy! A couple of weeks ago we went to our local museum and they had a Space Conference, several astronauts gave speeches and demonstrations...one was older when he was excepted into the program and never thought it would ever happen...well, after applying 4 times he was finally accepted. He said that anything can happen in America.....that's what makes this country so great! I walked away with lots of hope that I will be accepted into nursing school, too. Age shouldn't stop us from doing what we really want to do in life!!!!! If we keep working out and stay healthy we can do anything, too.!!!!!
Here's mine:
1 med oncology 42
2 infectious disease 40
3 hematology 40
4 physical med & rehabilitation 40
5 aerospace med 39
6 gastroenterology 39
7 nuclear med 39
8 rheumatology 38
9 nephrology 38
10 psychiatry 38
11 obstetrics/gynecology
OB/GYN type care is what interests me, so I'm surprised to see it so far down. The only other thing on that list, so far, that interests me is psychiatry.

These were my top 3
1. dermatology
2. pediatrics
3. emergency medicine
Have no clue how dermatology got on there. Never ever considered that. The other 2 fit.
God Bless,
