Personal liability insurance why or why not?

Published

Does anyone have personal , why or why not? I am doing a project for school, and have to ask a nurse about this, and review a liability insurance policy brochure.

Can anyone direct me to where I could obtain this insurance? Thanks!

I use NSO. Professional Liability Insurance for nurses, nursing medical malpractice.. I believe my policy was just over $50 for the year.

I got mine through NSO

Professional Liability Insurance for nurses, nursing medical malpractice.

It was $54 because I was a new nurse.

This is what I have. I had an insurance policy as a nursing student too with them, and then just converted it to an RN policy once I graduated.

I use NSO as well. Not expensive at all. I think it's the one most here use.

And remember, there is usually a coverage for legal representation before the Board. And my policy has some kind of coverage for injuries suffered if I'm attacked on the job, if I remember right. Haven't looked at the policy face sheet for awhile. Many employers now require a copy of your insurance face sheet when you are hired.

I can assure you that you do not want to be without it should something happen. Once you are contacted by the opposing law firm that you are named in a suit, it is too late to be thinking about purchasing insurance to protect your assets.

I have NSO as well. We also had to have it as students. It's not expensive and well worth the peace of mind.

Hello

Does anyone know if the is priced by the territory?I live in Florida. I ask because everyone keeps saying how inexpensive its but my quote came out to 170 dollars and that's with new graduate discount. I'm assuming is yearly. Thank you!

Don't know if there's a regional factor, but I do believe your specialty area can affect your quote.

If you're not sure why it's so high, just call them and ask.

I think it was right around $100.

I also have NSO. The price more or less doubles as your leave the grad period, but it is worth it. A friend of mine who was working as a pool nurse needed it, since her employers did not back her up or provide for her.
