Anybody know work in a dream job?? the perfect job?? share where you work and why you love it so much. Im lookng for a low stress to no stress job where you make your own hours, or where you can take of time at least twice a year. The money isnt that important. All my family live out of the country so I would like to go visit at least twice a year thats why I would want to take off at least twice a year, and a job with little stress would be nice too. So if anybody works at a place like this , please share. Thanks!

Excuse a cynical old nurse but if this job exists we will all be there applying!!!:lol2:

try home health. you can make your own hours and s ometimes choose which clients you want to work with or not. pay is decent, paperwork is fairly minimal, no boss over your shoulder.

There is no such thing as a perfect job and if you are looking for one, you will be sorely disappointed in any job you take on. Life is full of ups and downs, crabby people and just plain sucky days. It's what you make of all of it that makes your job "perfect." Good luck to you and if you don't want to be disappointed, you might want to bring down your ideals just a tad.

If you don't need benefits, agency work would be ideal because you can work when you want, pretty much.

Low stress/no stress nursing job?? I think that's an oxymoron.

Have you thought about a school nursing job? Because it seems that time is more important than any other aspect of the job for you, their jobs float right along with the school. Check with the school websites in your area to see what they are offering. Even if you don't have kids you still get lots of time off! The only downside to a cushy job is they are hard to find and once you do you start loosing your hard earned skills. If you don't like that then I would go into home health for the stress-free environment.

School nursing all the way!!!!!!! Pay stinks tho...

Oh, you meant something in nursing?

Well, that is another matter.

We are all searching.

where do you apply for chocolate taster?:lol2:

agency can be as high stress as you can get but you can take yourself off the call list and go visit family/friends whenever the urge hits

school nurisng is prime job for mothers providing second income, they don't have to have babysitter and hubby takes up the slack in lower pay so these are sometimes hard to get into

Specializes in Dialysis, Home Care, Hospice.

I've done Hospital, Dialysis, Office nursing, Home care and Hospice. I have not found a nursing position yet that was low stress. Home care for an LPN may be less stressful. You aren't having to case manage. Not to say that you won't encounter stress anyway. You will. I just cant see how it could be quite as bad.
