Hi there friends and colleagues!
I would like to ask about Prentice hall's nclex-rn by Mary Ann Hogan (Pearsonvue), do you think this resource material would help me prepare for the nclex-rn exam? What about nclex-rn exam cram? Did anybody used this resources helped them? I just purchased these two books and they're very much overwhelming and very thick to read on. What can u suggest me to do inorder to go through these books? Are the questions in these books similar as the onces in the board exam? Just wondering. Thank you for your time to read on and answer my inquiries. Thank you.
Ugh most of the stuff I studied wasn't on there...but since you never know what u r gonna get, I guess it was a good idea that I over-studied.
Wow newaggie...I am so proud of you. Again congratulations and wow i totally envy you right now. You will deserve all the credit for all the hardwork you put out for this test. Again, congrats sweety and best wishes!!!
Thank you. I saw my name today at the Cali Website.Thank you all. .
I told you, you pass! Wow! Everybody here is passing. Almost everyone I know here just passed. I'm so happy for you night_nursy, you and the others who made it for this test I so envy you guys right now. Anyhow, I'll do my best next time. But for now, I can't help myself...congratulations!!!! I am so so happy for you!!!!
aww thanks!
There you are!!! Again congrats!!!! I'm really really happy for you. And I'll keep in mind everything you've told me. I was just rereading everything, you and the others here have said. I'll stick with only 2-4 sources like you said. And I'll definitely stick with hogan's book for nsg. content and hurst and kaplan for strategies. Then I'll keep practicing 50-100 questions a day from exam cram and hogan. Basically head from there. Before I only used saunders and la charity book I guess i wont use my saunders anymore for nsg. content since I really like hogan's book now, now that I've had it. But I'll still used the cd for practice questions every now and then, esp. pharmacology area, and i'll still use la charity for SATA's. But that's abot it! I'll limit myself from having too many resources i just cnt concentrate anymore with 4.
And i totally agree with what you've said before, hogan's book is subdivided according the the nclex-rn blueprint. Hopefully it'll help me. Unlike you I haven't been getting high scores I sort of only been getting round about 50%+ pretty much average. Which kinda worries me since I can't get the 75%-80% quote to pass the hogan's and exam crams cd. But, I will not give up. I'll keep reading and understanding the rationales. The book is kinda overwhelming too, there's just too much info. but it's not that hard to read, it's actually very friendly to read on, but like I said overwhelming. I'll focus on my nsg. content on this book. I totally love it. And it's exactly as you said, anyhow I did notice a couple of questionable topics in there that are not the same as CDC but there were only a few. I'll keep studying and hopefully I'll pass this test like you. I truly envy you right now. (pinching you in the cheek....) Totally happy for you!
Congratulation Newaggie!!!
I'll be praying for you! You can and will pass...just have to believe in yourself (easier said than done, right? lol). Just keep at it. Do you know anyone near you who is also studying to test? Maybe you could form a study group.
No. I don't know anybody around here who's taking the test. I wish I do. I'd like that too study group. Back then I learn more from study groups.
Ujones, freedom42, and newaggiegrad09 I finally enrolled myself to hurst review. I got the workbook and the cd-r and 5th day dvd that comes along with it. I will be closely following what you did to study for the nclex. I was so amazed and inspired with you three's success of passing the nclex. And I have read over and over what you guys have told me on how to prepare for this test. I will surelly do by best to study hard and be well-prepared enough to pass my next take for the nclex-rn. I wish you guys all the best as you unfold another chapter of your lives as license nurses. I am so proud of you and very much inspired for all your hard work. And I will surely keep in mind everything you've taught me and told me.
I am so glad we could help you!! U will PASS with Hurst trust me u will :)
Thanks ujones i'll do exactly like you did, study content with hogan and it's practice disc, strategies and critical thinkings skills with hurst and nclex exam cram for the simulated exam. Hopefully this time i'll make it.
Again, congratulations for passing the test, i am so proud of you and i truly admire your dedciation and hard work. You are one of my inspirations to pass this test. Thank you very much. I'll surely keep in mind everything you've suggested to me. Do u have any other suggestions for me to do? If yes, i'll truly appreciate it. Other than that, thank you thank you thank you ujones!!!:loveya:
