Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

I took my NCLEX on Wednesday, I live in CA so I can't get my quick results. I have gotten the "You have recently scheduled this exam, contact your nursing board..." message every time since I have taken the test. I am still really nervous that I didn't pass, it was so much harder than expected. Is everybody sure it works??

i got the same msg. after taking my test on thursday here in california. after reading all these posts on the pearson trick, i'm still not totally convinced. i'm wondering if our state works differently with the pvt because we don't participate in quick results. also i took the nclex rn not the pn so i'm wondering if that could make a difference too.
It just seems that most of the ppl that report success with the PVT are confirming it by getting their results using the "quick results" method. Since CA test takers don't have this option we can't verify it until we see our name on the BRN website. Also, I've read that some ppl are reporting that Pearson changed the pop up msg. recently but I think this msg. change was made in other states and not California but who knows?? It's just hard to gauge since I haven't seen anyone in CA that reports getting the cc page and then failing so I can't compare if it really works or if everyone gets the same good pop up.
