Pearson Vue trick

Nursing Students NCLEX

Updated:   Published

Hey Everyone!

I did my NCLEX yesterday at 8:00 am and I had 255 questions. I remember, some of my questions especially those at the end were easier.

I tried Pearson Vue trick after 3 hours. It displayed the message " records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time". Then it says your account is on hold. So, I signed out and after signing in , again tried to register. It allowed me to register and I received an acknowledgement first and then a receipt saying that your order is processed....

I'm so heart-broken and just waiting for tomorrow to access the quick results.

Any thoughts???

I'm so sorry to hear you failed. UWorld is great IMO..The rationales are really helpful. They also have a free 1 week trial going on..So just try it out first, if you don't like it, then you don't need to purchase it. Their Facebook page has the link for the free trial. I just took my exam yesterday. I am getting the good pop up.. But you stated you got the good pop up and still failed. So I don't know. I will know for sure tomorrow if I passed or failed. Good luck to you.

While I'm sorry to hear of your failure, at least this post of yours can serve as an educational opportunity for those who swear by the PVT.

You got a "good" pop up....then a "hold" pop up....and finally a "failed" pop up. Three versions for one test taker is unusual, but it demonstrates what is wrong with playing with this silly thing in the first place.

Your first error was doing it three hours after you completed your test. Every exam is reviewed for QA at some point in the 24 hours following the exam; you waited only 3 which means all you know is that your first "score" was likely considered to be passing (likely, but not confirmed). A hold was placed on your exam at some point, indicating something flagging your test as potentially problematic; this happens for many reasons, some of which may have had nothing to do with you....or everything to do with you. Too late to know now. And finally, you were able to pay for another exam. Unfortunately, while that in and of itself did NOT indicate you failed (as you kept attempting to register multiple times it finally took the money you offered it), your later post confirmed that you did.

Good luck on your next time at the NCLEX, and for heaven's sake, please forget you ever heard of PVT when you're done, OK? Pay the eight bucks for 100% accurate results of passing/failing 48 hours after you've completed your exam and be done with it.

Good luck on the next time. Don't give up!

My school had ATI. I joined for the Virtual ATI which gives a green signal at the end to tell you that you are ready to take the test. Since I felt the Coach was not helpful, I switched to Kaplan self-paced program. And I rushed my exam because lot of people said success rate is higher in the first month (weeks, I graduated in May). But it was a wrong decision:( Now , these 2 programs are free this time,so I'm gonna do both. I got the letter from BON in which they said that 'I'm near the passing level in all areas'. So I'm thinking of practicing lot of questions, trusting in God and do the exam!!:-)

Thanks!!! I would rather wait for 48 hrs rather than the trick next time.....

If only! But alas, there will forever be posts that say "I've never heard of anyone ever...." :sarcastic: and then ask for the links proving they exist. Caveat Emptor.
