Pearson Vue Trick 2014

Updated:   Published

OK, so I am a mess right now. I took my RN NCLEX this morning at 8:30-10:30. I had 75 questions and A LOT of select all that apply. I'm confused about the so called "Pearson vue trick." I just tried to re register it asked me to enter my credit card info and I got the following message" our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." It had a red triangle with an ! In it. I'm confused bc I thought that was the "good pop up" but I also read if it takes you to the cc info page that meant you failed. HELP!!!!

I took it in Texas!

I actually keep checking today and still says the same, still on hold. But it doesnt try to take a payment from my card though.

Thanks Darkstar1485. How bout you? Have you tried the PV trick? Whats does it say?

I took my NCLEX Friday morning, and did the pvt that afternoon. I got the good pop up, "this exam has already been scheduled another appointment can't be made at this time".

I did the pvt Saturday and got the same pop up. My quick results were up this morning (Sunday). So the trick does work.

I hope you get some clarification soon!! How nerve wrecking.

On hold is usually due to some sort of technical glitch. Perhaps the palm reader didn't get a good read, or your computer terminal read something wrong. It is frustrating, but not an indication of pass or fail. They will need a human to confirm results and it will stay on hold until that is comlete

As stated above, when the results are on hold, it means that someone has to verify the integrity of the exam and be certain that nothing interfered with the exam and that you are the person you claim to be. In short, they need to verify that the exam is valid and once they're sure of that, they'll release the results, whatever that may be.

A "hold" is one of the things that will prevent a registration attempt from completing the payment process. The other is a "pass" result. Right now, all that you can do is wait for the hold to be cleared.

So I just checked now 8:00ET from the BoN website that I fail again and on the Pearson website it still says on hold on the trick while on the quick results, it says results not available.:( i feel so heartbroken now.

I just found out this morning that I passed on the BON site. So, The PVT worked for me I'm really sorry that you didn't pass. :(

Not sure what you're saying here. An exam that is placed "on hold" means only that a verification process is still not complete; results can be on hold anywhere from 24-72 hours usually. Quick Results, if your State participates in that program, CANNOT be available until after the hold is lifted, and the exam has been scored for the final time (TWO scorings, not one).

Holds can be placed for a variety of reasons: a test completed in a shorter-than-average time period, a palm/finger scan that did not work the first passthrough, and many that you will have no knowledge of why.

If your State BON posts results in one day, then I suppose you can know THAT way if you failed; simply not seeing results posted for you AND having a hold still on your test results doesn't mean you failed, it means your results aren't finalized yet. In other words, the BON CANNOT deem you failed before Pearson Vue does!

I dont know. Pearson still says results unavailable but my state BoN already posted a FAIL and I called them too and says I failed.maybe Pearson Vue hasn't just updated yet.

My BoN just posted the result this morning.

I'm guessing, then, that you live in a State that does not participate in Quick Results (which is why you would see 'Results Unvavailable'--they never will be via Pearson Vue). It would seem, then, that the hold was lifted and results were completed AND your BON is a fast-acting one if they've already posted a failure.

Sorry! :(

Its okay. I live in Florida though.
