Pearson Vue Trick 2014

Updated:   Published

OK, so I am a mess right now. I took my RN NCLEX this morning at 8:30-10:30. I had 75 questions and A LOT of select all that apply. I'm confused about the so called "Pearson vue trick." I just tried to re register it asked me to enter my credit card info and I got the following message" our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." It had a red triangle with an ! In it. I'm confused bc I thought that was the "good pop up" but I also read if it takes you to the cc info page that meant you failed. HELP!!!!

I took it in Texas!

When I tried the PVT trick I used an old debit card and got bad pop up "the payment was declined" .. I've read 2 posts who received the same pop up and failed. Thats y I think im failed too.. Im expecting for the official result this week!

Your card being declined means you tried to slip in a bad card and it knew that. It was declined, so no charges went through. Doesn't mean you failed, OR that you passed. People have paid $200 only to find out they passed, and people have gotten "good" pop ups only to find out later they failed.

Wait for official results, it won't kill ya ;)

So, I took my NCLEX-PN exam last month (Sep 4) in the state of California. It took me 3 hours and 30 min approximately and 207 questions. When I got out of the testing department I got into my car, went on the PV page and did the "trick". It went through all the way to the credit card phase. I kept my hopes up just because it was too recent. Two weeks later I tried it again and the same thing happened. I did this multiple times during the weeks. I was soo disappointed I honestly thought I had failed. So today, 5 weeks later I get the letter in the mail stating I actually passed my test. I couldn't believe it since it was such a surprise! So i went back to the page just to see if it would do the trick and, the same thing happened it still goes through and lets me apply again! Its so weird.... My point here is, don't trust the "trick" guys.

I took the NCLEX-PN exam on 10/07/2014, everyone in my class who had tested before me put all of their faith in the Pearson Vue Pass/fail trick to provide them with comfort and the peace of mind of knowing they passed. Well, it wasn't so for me, I checked everyday all day and I never got the good, magic, you passed pop up; the system asked me for my credit card information every time. For those of you who are reading this post and have any type of belief in a higher being, for me its Jesus Christ, has always been and will always be; trust and believe that your God is more accurate than any trick ever used.

My exam was about 70% select all that apply questions and shut off at 85. When I walked out of the exam, to be honest I had an unexplainable peace. Even after checking the Pearson site and repeatedly tying the trick and receiving what some would call the sign of failure.

This morning 10/09/2014 I logged into Pearson and saw that my quick results were ready for purchase, now this was the moment that my stomach began to do flips, but for what because my unofficial results had in big bold letters PASS. After checking Pearson I logged into the Texas BON website and my license # along with a hyper link to my actual license was already in the system.

I don't know who this is for, but just know that not getting the good, magic, you passed pop up DOES NOT MEAN YOU FAILED THE NCLEX-PN my experience is proof that it is a hit or miss trick.

You may want to consider reading the other 4,962 (approximate guess) threads on the way the "trick" has changed.

Although I have not read all 4,962 approximate guess threads on how the trick has changed, I have read enough and tried a couple of different ways. For the majority of people it does work and I'm happy that they are able to receive the validation they need using that method; But this post was intended to be encouragement for those few people who are having the same experience I had. Just a simple you're not defeated if your experience is not the same as that of the majority of people who are able to use the trick. Thats all

The point being that since on or about 8/25/14 when the Pearson Vue site underwent a software upgrade and site maintenance the traditional trick was eliminated. Everyone gets the credit card page when attempting to reregister. The "new trick" is to attempt to enter your credit card and hope you aren't charged a non refundable $200 in the event that you passed. The " trick" is less reliable than before. The only official result is from the BoN. The only accurate results are from quick results or BoN. No divine intervention necessary.

With the new PVT, everyone will get to the CC page... the thing is you enter your card info... (the card must be valid--- even if it has a 25cent balance... it just needs to be an active CC).

Once you enter your card info and click "SUBMIT" if you passed you will then get the "good pop up" and your CC will NOT be charged. Unfortunately, if you failed, then your card will be charged the 200$ or declined. The good pop up says: "Our records indicate that you have taken this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

It has been changed as of August 1, 2014.

;-)

You obviously did not read "enough" to see that the trick had changed as previous posters have mentioned. Everyone gets the credit card screen.

Unless you were putting in your credit card number all of those times and it was charging you you were not doing the new "trick". Had you taken time to read the forum instead of trying an outdated "trick" repeatedly you would known this. Instead you come here and post information that even a cursory check of the forum would tell you was irrelevant.

Hey, let's not confuse the issue with FACTS.

Now, what was that oft-misquoted definition of insanity....? Wait....it'll come to me....

Yes, that = PASS! Congrats to u!!!!!!!!!

Also, check your board of nursing, if u fail, they usually take down your graduate permit IMMEDIATELY without hesitation... so if it is still there and you have the GOOD PVT result then u are golden!!!!!

Since the pearson vue changed their website there's also a new trick in checking if you pass/fail the nclex RN exam... all you have to do is to register again and answer the questions regarding if you took the nclex exam, so on and so forth.., the credit card info/ billing info will appear all you have to do is to enter your cc number and press submit if the ' good pop up' appears ' our record indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. another registration cannot be made." you passed and if goes all the way in receiving you 200USD you failed.. goodluck guys!

Hi just want to share it... Because my friend took the nclex and it goes

to the billing and PV took the 200usd and she fails... :)
