Pearson Vue trick 2014 -still works!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my NCLEX in AL yesterday and as soon as it said delivery successful, I tried the trick and I got the good pop up!! Then today when I looked on the AL Board of Nursing my name is listed as an active RN as of today!! :) So the trick works still as of 1/9/14. I still cannot believe I'm officially a Registered Nurse!!

They are REALLY rude. I've been browsing this forum for awhile now and find myself constantly rolling my eyes at how condescending this person is. Thank you for posting your experience regardless of this bully. I hope your quick results confirm that you did in fact pass. Good luck! I'm also waiting to find out my results (took it yesterday!). Feeling pretty nervous. Most anxiety filled 48hrs of my entire life, that's for sure!

First of all,

You are very rude, I'd just like to throw that our there.

I did, in fact, read your opinion on the PVT. That is why I chose to post my experience, it has been over 24 hours and I have tried the trick multiple times since I left the testing facility until now. If you think we're all dumb for using this trick, that's fine, I don't really care - you don't need to attack every person who posts in this thread that they used the PVT. It had worked for all of my classmates so I was willing to try it. Like I said, I will post again when I get my quick results.

First of all, I am not rude, but blunt, I'd just like to throw that out there.

Secondly, you posted misinformation, pure and simple, and it is NOT helpful when people do this. You posted that you did the PVT the day you took your test, MINUTES later, actually, and therefore NOT 24 hours later. And you said that you figured what the heck, if you paid $200 at that point you'd have to pay again anyway if you failed....and this is unfortunately what OTHER people have done and LOST their money. They did NOT heed the information that is posted all over this forum (including you, apparently; you say you read it but obviously either did not, or did not understand it. From your posting style I would suggest you are more than capable of understanding it....so I'd have to believe you did not really read it).

It is helpful to post facts, truth. It is NOT helpful to tell people to do something that can harm them; people have lost money needlessly, have been crushed beyond measure because they thought they had failed (and did not) and have been elated and accepted jobs that they had to turn right around and refuse (because they failed when they thought they had passed).

You don't like how I put that out there, that's fine. But WHAT I post has helped MANY, I absolutely assure you. It's FACTUAL, not "this is what happened to me so it must work". The shear number of people who have recognized this indicates that I should, in fact, keep on. I suppose I could take more time to write in a style more pleasing (to you, and probably some others) but frankly I'd just as soon get the info out and go on.

I get that some don't like seeing the truth written bluntly. I'm ok with that, based on the overwhelming number of grateful responses and PMs (from people who are too shy to post, but appreciate reading the info).

For those that equate bluntness and efficiency with bullying, nursing may indeed prove difficult. MANY people come to AN to complain about bullying on their units, as new grads. MANY do find that they are mistaken, after some experience is under their belts.

Hopefully you did pass, I DO wish you well....even if you did get off to a rough start on the boards with me.

Your opinion is yours, of course. Others may (and do) disagree.

But good luck to you, too.

I took the Nclex RN exam today, 11-26-14, I felt really anxious after the test. I stopped at 120-130 questions. After leaving, about 10 minutes after I tried the PVT (pearson vue trick) on my computer.. it allowed me to enter my credit card and actually charged my card. Is this accurate? Did I try it too early? I am really nervous.. Someone help.. Did anyone else have this problem? Does the trick even still work?

Hi, Keisha:

At the risk of appearing rude (seem to have a streak of accusations on that today, LOL!) I'm going to tell you to scroll back through this very thread, just several posts back, and you will see everything you need to know about the PVT. I mean everything.

Quick answer for you, though: it's possible you passed, and paid $200 for nothing. It's also possible you failed, and you'll need to re-test anyway. At this point, no one can tell you anything with any certainty OTHER than results take 24 hours to finalize, after TWO scorings have been made. You waited only for the first one (which, it seems, was a 'fail').

Hang in there. You might be one of those people who do pass after donating $200 to PV...

Thank you soo much, that makes me feel a little better.. I guess I indeed tried to early. Thanks again!!

No problem. Waiting for results sucks, so I understand the need to try any trick that seems to get answers faster. If your State participates in Quick Results, THAT is the way to get a 100%, completely accurate pass/fail answer. Can't do it until 48 hours post test, but......at least it's a 'for sure'.

I took My NCLEX today for PN. I took it at 1:00 pm. I just tried to re register AT 4:00 PM SAME DAYand I put all of my info into the PV website and it gave me the "good pop up" lol. IT WOULD NOT TAKE MY CREDIT CARD INFO. I don't know if it really works yet but will definitely be back to tell you once I know for sure. I had only 85 questions exactly. It didn't seem as hard I as I thought it would be but STILL waiting for the 48 hr quick result .

It worked for me

I took the exam last week and I got the good pop up ---> "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam"

I found out that I passed the exam 48 hrs after I took it (quick results)

Try to do it with a debit card that doesn't have enough money... If you get the good pop up means that you passed.. if it declines your card you failed.

The PVT has no value if played with before 24 hours has passed. Why? Because the NCLEX is subject to TWO scorings; the first one is done (essentially) the moment the test is complete, but the second one--and the ONLY one that matters--is done anytime during the following 24 hours.

If you play the 'trick' only after your first score is done, then 'good' pop up or 'bad' pop up has no meaning. Sometimes people have paid $200 for a new test registration because they failed on their first scoring....but found out later that they threw that money out the window because the SECOND score was a 'pass'. And the opposite has been true, too: people thinking they passed, told everyone they passed, accepted JOBS even.....and turns out they actually failed. That second score thing.

MOST of the time, the two scores jive, and whatever you guessed on the first go-round is ALSO what the final score was. in that case, people say "it works right after you finish your exam" and they didn't realize they were only lucky the two scores matched. Or unlucky, I guess, if they failed.

Anyway, the only way to officially know if you've passed is PV's Quick Results 48 hours after completion. OR you can reasonably assume if it's been more than 24 hours since you finished your test that whatever 'pop up' you get at that point is about as accurate as you're going to get from a 'trick'.

Good luck!

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't just dispute the $200 charge on your debit/credit card if you really don't need to take the exam again

The bank will reverse the charge and investigate. In the meantime cancel your card and get a new one to avoid getting charged again should the Pearson people fight you back. If you don't need to take the exam again, they have no right to your money.

I would never allow $200 to come out of my account for no reason without a fight
