  1. It's not that his dream is coming before mine. I'm proud of him. He has worked really hard to get to where he is and this is an amazing opportunity for him. The good thing about nursing is that I can get a job in other places if need be. Long distance across the country for five months wouldn't be realistic for us -- financially or otherwise.
  2. Hi there. I need some advice about a situation I'm finding myself in. I graduated with my BSN in early December and started my first job mid January. I'm about three weeks away from coming off orientation and so far I love everything about my unit and have been very lucky to have an amazing preceptor, nurse manager, and great support from the other nurses on the floor. Unfortunately, my husband was just offered his dream job in another state across the country that will require us to move in August. I haven't told anyone at work yet because I'm so worried that if they know I will be leaving that they will potentially not put as much effort into helping me, or will be disappointed that they've already invested all this time in making me a good new nurse for nothing. Plus I'm super bummed that I have to leave this job because I could really see myself working on this floor for quite awhile. I'm also worried that once I get to my new location and start applying for jobs that only having 7-8 months experience will look bad. I'm thinking of telling my nurse manager in about two months that way she will have plenty of time to hire someone to replace me, but I'm nervous about how it will go. Any suggestions on how I should approach this?
  3. They are REALLY rude. I've been browsing this forum for awhile now and find myself constantly rolling my eyes at how condescending this person is. Thank you for posting your experience regardless of this bully. I hope your quick results confirm that you did in fact pass. Good luck! I'm also waiting to find out my results (took it yesterday!). Feeling pretty nervous. Most anxiety filled 48hrs of my entire life, that's for sure!
