Thought I'd start a 2014 PVT poll

"Good" pop up says: "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

"Test on hold" pop up says: "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold"

"Credit card page": takes you to the credit card page to make a payment.

Yes...... that is the GOOD POP UP... if you got that message then u passed!!! Congrats to you!!!!!!!!

Your quick results will be available EXACTLY 48 hours after u take the test... so if your test time was at 2 PM check for the quick results 48 hours later at 2 PM.....

Also in TX if a person fails their temporary graduate permit will be removed immediately from the board... so I checked there and mine was still listed.

I got quick results yesterday... it said I passed!!!!

So the PVT does still work!

Hi all I took the NCLEX-PN on 11/10/2014 was cut off at 85 did the PVT trick a hour after I finished the test got the good pop up screen, I did the quick results today and passed I'm in Texas by the way. Unavailable only refers to the availability of quick results. If your state does not participate it will always say results unavailable

It's 48 hours for quick results.

I took my NCLEX on 12/16 for the 3rd time in the state of Kentucky. The computer shut off around 90 questions, which was a relief to me since the previous two times I got 265. I used the PVT about an hour later and got the 'good pop up". The previous two times I had got the credit card page to reregister. So I had hope. I continued to check using the Pvt and I'm still getting the good pop up. Many of my classmates names were added to the board of nursing website within 24 hours, but my license isn't there almost 36 hours later! I'm hoping for the best but I don't want to get my hopes up. Has anyone in the state of kentucky had this happen as well and passed? Thanks for the input!

Well, there are a few problems here. My guess is the previous attempts you made at the NCLEX were prior to August of 2014; at that time Pearson Vue changed its registration software and it is no longer an indication of ANYTHING if you go to the CC page. EVERYONE is now directed to that page, pass or fail.

Next, any pop ups are of little to no value if you see them prior to 24 hours after the completion of your exam. The NCLEX is scored TWICE: the first scoring is complete immediately upon completion, and this is when people tend to play with the PVT. Trouble is, it is ONLY the first scoring; your test will be scored a second time sometime during the next 24 hours.

MOST of the time, the scores match, and people that play the game a couple of hours after finishing will get the same result 24 hours later; they then announce "the PVT works right away!!!". But they are wrong.

Some of the time, enough of the time that it's very relevant in this thread, the second score does NOT match the first. Only the second one matters, so.....there you go.

If your first score is a 'pass' and you jump and cheer and tell everyone you know you passed, and then get the official results stating you failed, it's quite the blow. And you'd probably claim the PVT "didn't work for you". At least that's the norm ;)

Then there's the flip side, that being your first score was a fail, you are crushed and cry and pay $200 to schedule another exam, only to find out with the official results that you passed. Ok, you're now thrilled you passed, but you threw $200 into the garbage as it's non-refundable. And all that angst, for what?

And as for reliability, that's really based on the person who is reading the thing. What some have called "the good pop up" is not, plain and simple.

If it has been more than 24 hours since you completed your exam, what EXACTLY does your pop up say?

Im in Texas.

Good pop up 6 hours after exam.

Good pop up 27 hours after exam.

I took the NCLEX in CA on 12/15/14 and received the good pop-up when doing the Pearson trick. It's been exactly a week since my exam and I continue to get the good pop-up. I will leave a comment if the CA BRN ever gets back to me. This will definitely confirm whether or not this trick actually works.

30 min after exam good pop up and I passed

Took my NCLEX-RN yesterday, 12-22-14, at 8 AM. This was my first attempt. The exam cut off around question 85. I tried the PVT a few hours later and received the "good" pop-up! It's an early Christmas for me!!! :D HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
