Hi guys, so I passed the NCLEX RN exam a week agooo weeee (insert applause here) and now I have a new impediment. I am not sure if this topic is already in here but I graduated in the Philippines on the year 2009 and the Texas BON granted me to take my NCLEX RN but has told me that after I pass the exams, I will need to take the Refresher course. I wanna know from my fellow nurses how that works. I am in Dallas area. And I am not sure if after I get my RN temporary license valid for 6 months if I should look for an employer to give the TX BON what they need or just enroll in a course? And how many hours do I need to complete? Are there online courses I need to do as well? Thanks if someone could answer. :)

Hi Guys! wow it has been months since I opened my account here. Just to let you all know. I passed the second time. I took it last week.:) Finally RN!!! This time it went easy. I only had 100 questions and I felt good when I stepped out of the room. I must have been more prepared. Anyway, Goodluck to all of yah!

Wow! Congrats! I have a 2 yr old toddler running around so I really couldnt focus. I graduated 2009 which i simply could not recall anything anymore. (They are basically excuses) lol I will try ncsbn this time. I still have 1 more month with kaplan so I will use it while I still can. Thanks! and also can you give me links to videos you accessed if its not asking too much. Coz the videos in kaplan sucks. They just read the book.???

hi ya'll! so I failed. Found it out this morning and I am already enthusiastic to start this second phase of review. (God pls help me) Lil background: I am a RN in the Philippines and just got here in the US a few months back. I am currently in Tx. I took nclex-RN last Dec16 got through freakin torture with 265 questions! And I failed. My exam was very kaplan like but I hate how kaplan did the rationale. In short probably I lacked the content that I needed to pass the exams. If you guys have resources thats free, please I am begging you to share it ??? Really dont have the money to purchase another course. Kaplan cost me $400 and it didnt help me. Do you guys have Hurst videos I can look into? please help. xoxo

We will pass it on the second time. I just called the BON of Tx thank God we have unlimited takes for Foreign nurses as long as one is a Registered Nurse in their country. Pulled out a bit of my anxiety. This time I will try NCSBN

Thanks for the reply. To elaborate, the card that I used was a desctivated card. I called the bank few mos ago for this card to not be activated anymore because I dont need it. My friend used the same and she got the good pop up and passed. I am hoping it is a mistake but mine showed up card declined: call bank. ? We'll see in a fee min. Im getting the quick results.
