Pearson Vue Trick did NOT work for me and I PASSED!

Nursing Students NCLEX Nursing Q/A

I just wanted to make a post in hopes that this will come up for potential nurses googling about the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT)

I took my NCLEX in January of 2017, and decided to try the PVT so many people swear by. I did NOT get the good pop up, cried cause well obviously it didn't work so figured I had failed. Nope! I passed.

The Pearson Vue Trick does NOT always work. Don't let it trick you!

This is was my second time taking the NCLEX, I failed the first one. It happens! I just picked myself up and studied some more. Passed it the second time with minimum questions. There is so much online help out there! So good luck to everyone!

Hi there

So I took it 6-7-17 and got the bad pop up

I used an invalid card and for the card declined

tried the pvt trick with an expired credit card.

Got the card declined, contact bank or use another card.

So according to the trick I failed? í ½í¸

Probably. Most of the time a card is declined because the registration program wants to charge you for the registration you are attempting to make. After all that is what you are trying to do, register again. Sometimes the card is simply tested for validity, the program will know that the card entered is fake or expired or has the wrong CVC code. In those cases people have passed and the card was declined because they were trying to put one over on Pearson VUE. Not really a good plan.

I can't say to give up all hope because you didn't do the trick correctly, you put in invalid info. Honestly if it were me? I would wait for official results before crying or celebrating. If you put in correct info and it charges you two hundred bucks you still won't know whether you passed or failed until you get official notice. So why bother?

So you never received the message stating "that you have already registered for this exam? I took mine today and never received that message but am seeing your post on how you didn't receive that and still passed. Just wondering if you could shed some light on it for me. So pretty much you didn't have anything pop up?

Same happened to me. And I failed

Oh, that's not good. Same story tho? Like yougot all questions?

Yeah I've read a lot on here that it's just a trick and works for some people and doesn't for others. I however did not get the good message about how I had already registered for this exam, so figured ill wait paitently and continue to read online on how people still passed even after the failed trick

That message appears after you submit credit card information, actually SUBMIT it, and indicate a second time (verify) that you want to register again. There is nothing whatsoever that appears BEFORE you complete these steps.

Either you get a message telling you that you cannot register again OR you get a message telling you that your card is declined (if you decided to use wrong information which doesn't tell you anything in the end). If you get charged $200 you get a receipt.

No pop up at all? You didn't do the PVT, you stopped short of finishing it.

I did not pass. Feeling really defeated. That was my second time taking the nclex. :(

Was it the PN or RN one? How did you know you failed I thought you guys didn't have quick results ?

Pn, not sure how they did but my schools nclex advisor checked and called me with the results

You had max questions??

I had about 90
