Pearson Vue Trick: Is it accurate? Do you know anyone who paid using their CC and passed?

Published

I took my NCLEX yesterday. Went all the way to 265 questions. I had gotten a lot of infection control questions, 30 SATA, a lot of priority qs and delegations. I was exhausted. I tried the PVT online when I got home, I it took me straight to the CC page, went through. I want to pay for the quick results, but it says it is not available yet, I have to wait 48 hours for it to be available. I am devastated. I check my AMEX card but the $200 is still pending. I do not know if I pass. I thought at first I did, since I was getting really high level of questions. But because I did the PVT, and went to the CC page, I lost HOPE. Can anyone tell me, if they know someone, who had gotten charged 200 dollars and passed? I do not mind to pay the 200 dollars, as long as I passed. Super sad here. Been crying all day, and I feel like I am such a failure. :'(

The Pearson vue trick is still a thing? Just wait 48 hours. It won't change the outcome to wait.

I took my exam on 1 February, I did PVT it let me register again but when I logged in my breeze account it says RN# under applicant activities so I don't know what's that? If anybody knows here please reply thanks!

Did you find out if you passed or not?

Good Afternoon all, I took my NCLEX yesterday. I decided to try the PVT 2 hours after and they accepted my payment, from what I've been reading this means that I've failed. What I did not know is that you should wait 24 hours after the exam to try the PVT. It was incorrectly done, which means even though they accepted my payment it doesn't result in failure. I'm keeping my hopes up because I've read other posts where PVT accepted their payment but in the end they passed the NCLEX. I hope I'm one of those people that pass in the end after trying the PVT.

I took the NCLEX RN yesterday too, computer shut off @75. I checked the PVT trick 2hrs after, then 8 hrs and then 24 hrs and so far it won't let me reregister after I put cc. info in and I'm getting a message that say our record indicates that you have recently scheduled an exam and one cannot be made at this time. I think this is the same message I got in '09 when I did the LPN boards PVT. I pray that we pass.I am going to do quick results tomorrow if it's ready.

I just took the test 2/26 did the trick payment went thru found out thru quick results I failed. So its back to the drawing board

You can do it continue to claim it in the name of Jesus and this too shall be. What God has installed for you no man nor women can take it away from you. I used uworld, the rationales are superb. I did over 1600 questions in 2 months. I felt like it prepared me.

The PV trick is still 100% accurate. I took the exam Feb 26, 2016. Computer shut off around 94 or 95. Then tried the PV Trick 2hrs after with my debit card then got the good pop up. Then I tried again after 24 hrs then z48 hrs still the same. And when I purchased my quick result this morning... voila!! It says PASS. So it doesnt matter wether you do it right after the exam or after 24 hrs. If you pass you will definitely get the good pop up!

PVT has never been 100% accurate. Whether or not you choose to believe it, the NCSBN has published that all exams are quality control scored a second time within the first 24 hours after test completion. It might be one hour or it might be 23.5hrs.

The ONLY 100% accurate results are quick results or information released by a state board of nursing.

Posts like above make me hope I still have a chance at passing, thank you! But when there's the majority of people saying it worked for them then somehow I believe I failed. What do they mean by quality control scoring? I took my exam Saturday so I won't be able to check the quick results until Wednesday I think. Doing the PVT made me really nervous and brought anxiety upon myself, I shouldn't have gave into it.

RE: quality control scoring, from NCSBN:

DOUBLE CHECKING YOUR RESULTS:

For quality control purposes, every NCLEX is scored twice; once by the computer at the test center and then after the exam record has been transmitted to Pearson VUE.

This is why the PVT is much less accurate before 24 hours. The exam hasn't been reviewed by PV yet.

When it goes through quality control, do you know what they're checking for?

It's official I passed, the PVT still works. Used it for my LPN and RN boards. I highly recommend uworld.
