  1. I don't know where you are getting your info from but I can share my experience. This program has been revamped and is one of the fastest growing successful in terms of students graduating and passing their boards. 1. I attended USU for 2 years and yes with some Financial aide without a problem. 2. I graduated last year with most to all of my cohort which was pretty large and I don't know anyone who did not eventually graduate form the school unless the left the program. 3. I am licensed in 2 states and is currently opening up my own Family Health practice . At the end of the day this program works if you allow it. You get what you put in, it's not a walk in the park as it should not be. People lives are dependent on you as a provider.
  2. Workload is doable, just may have to go part time with your job if you get overwhelmed. Keep in mind, with any program, you get what you put into it. Yes Aspen acquired USU a year or two ago and I have heard students that completed both say they’re similar in format, don’t know how true that is. Your only allowed to take one course for the first year then the workload in the courses get more intense. It’s not a walk in the park but again it’s doable and the reward of being part of a select few that can diagnose, prescribe, manage and be labeled primary care provider is worth every struggle.
  3. You can apply for a New York State License after completing the program. The educational and clinical components are acceptable to New York. I graduated in August and I’m licensed in New York even before I passed my AANP certification Exam.
  4. I am currently in clinical rotations and about to graduate in a few more months. here’s my review at this point in the program. 1. What I love about the school is that it was one of the smaller ones which means less students, not a rushed program with overwhelmed professors. But the school is growing and there’s a possibility that may change. 2. I am also impressed by the past rates for both accreditation boards. Some students are sitting for the boards a week after finishing their last class and passing on first try. 3. The cost of the program is by far one of the cheapest in the nation, who knows how long that will last. 4. I feel very well prepared when I walk into clinical, my preceptor now has me on my own and comes in for presentation only. I have a job offer with my preceptor when I graduate. My patients are impressed with me as SFNP, which counts a lot. I will post an update when I graduate and pass certification. Good luck future APRN.
  5. I currently signed on with MSN and cross country and was hoping to travel to new mexico and Arizona for the winter, but they don't have a lot to choose from.
  6. Started as CNA, had 1 year experience , LPN almost 6 years then graduated Dec. 2015 from Excelsior ADN, currently enrolled @ Chamberlain BSN program and I've been working on a oncology unit for 2 months and I love it.
  7. Congratulations LuvofNursing.
  8. I'm so happy that they dropped the Econ requirement coming May 2016.
  9. I'm starting in May, taking 351 and eng comp. 2. Overall how would you'll rate the courses?
  10. I first started off with 3 other study materials then the last 3 weeks I focused solely on uworld. The rationales are excellent. Go over every question take time to read why the questions were correct or incorrect. Sometimes I just did 5 - 20 questions a day but I read them over and over again. Then I retested with questions I got wrong a couple of days later.
  11. Uworld, it's phenomenal.
  12. It's official I passed, the PVT still works. Used it for my LPN and RN boards. I highly recommend uworld.
  13. No that was the old PVT trick, Pearson Vue updated their system and made it to where you have to gamble and put in your credit card information and then hit the submit button, if you get the pop which is the same message from the trick "our record indicates.. etc.." Then you pass but if you are charged and able to make a new registration then that's the bad pop. Either which way nothing is confirmed until you actually get your official or quick results from Pearson Vue or the state BON.
  14. You can do it continue to claim it in the name of Jesus and this too shall be. What God has installed for you no man nor women can take it away from you. I used uworld, the rationales are superb. I did over 1600 questions in 2 months. I felt like it prepared me.
