I wanted to share this information because just last night I was frantically searching for it myself and couldn't find anything current. The date today is 2/10/16. I took NCLEX yesterday and I know I passed because my name is listed as having an active license from the state. However, the Pearson Vue Trick did not work for me! Even right now, knowing that I passed, it is still letting me register for a new test!
So, if it lets you register please do not rely on this alone! You still may have passed!
I hope this is helpful to someone who is out there thinking they failed because the almighty Pearson Vue Trick didn't work for them!
Hi everyone!
I took my NCLEX pn here in California today @ 2pm. They sat me down around 130 and I was done at 235 and ended at 85q. I am freaking out thinking that I failed since I stopped at the minimum and my practice tests never came out higher than a 58%!!
Around 715pm I tried the PVT and I got the good pop up."Our records indicAte that you have recently scheduled an exam: Another registration cannot be made at this time." (I used a good cc with all the right info!)
I am wondering if the good pop up could be wrong and maybe I could have failed? Or maybe I tried it too soon?
I want to be sure before I decide to celebrate....
I took the NCLEX-RN on 10/22/16. I started at 8:00am and finished at 9:40am with 75 questions. I was afraid to do the trick so I waited for the quick results. The results post 48 hours to the nose. I checked today, 10/24/16 at 9:44am. The results were not there a moment before. I was nervous because it said 48 business hours and my test was on a Saturday. I passed! I've seen mixed information about the trick, so I decided to wait for quick results.
Good Luck to all of you!
I just finished taking it yesterday at 8:30pm, my friend and sister urged me to do the "trick". The first time I did it, Google Chrome entered my old card number and I got the "pop up" or error message that everyone brags about telling me to either call my bank or use a different card. My sister then told me that I was supposed to view the email from PearsonVue first that sent a brochure and told you about early test results, then do the trick. Viewed the email and went to do the trick again. This time, Chrome entered my correct debit card information and it went through. I talked to customer service to try and get a refund and ask if the charge would still go through or if I'd be refunded if I passed. They told me that I'd have to wait 48hrs to be graded and that regardless of whether I passed or not, I wouldn't get a refund and get another ATT. You can still register to take this exam if you passed and you can have two open registrations at the same time and they won't give you back your money. If you want to know your score in 48hrs, it's $8. The representative said "You had to read the rules, right?"
The NCLEX trick, really isn't a trick bc everyone that's ever tried it and claims it works never used real card information. No transaction with bad card information (canceled debit card, card that has no money to accept the charge) will go through. Use a good card, they will charge you and won't refund your money. You have to call your bank/card company.
After reading other responses, I wonder if it also has to do with the length of time between finishing the exam and doing the "trick" or the time that individuals finish. I started at 2:30, was asked about 200quest finished at 8:30 and tried the trick a hour later. The charge fully went through.
Hi all,
I promised myself that I would become a member on here to share my story.
So I took the NCLEX-RN this Nov. 2016. Like most have posted on here, I left feeling unsure and uneasy. I had to face my eager parents shortly after which was devastating. I told them it could go 50/50. But in the back of my mind I was thinking well if the CUBBIES could win a world series which they had not done in 108 years then surely anything is possible. GO CUBBIES!!!!
So we went to grab something to eat because I could not keep food down prior to testing.
Anyway, it was about an hour and a half drive back home. I tried to stay positive. I had a friend post on facebook about the PVT trick when she took her NCLEX so I became curious. I found this community in my search. Total time before I was brave enough to check was 2.5 hours. It took me all the way to the CC info. I clicked submit and boom it gave me the good pop up. My heart literally started beating a little faster. OMG if this really meant I had passed.
I immediately checked my board of nursing website because I had also heard that if you passed they dont take down your GN until they issue your RN license. I checked and sure enough it was still up. This was very reassuring to say the least. I kept checking Pearsonvue randomly throughout the day after that even after 24hrs from having tested. i was still getting the good pop up. Fast fwd to the day I'm supposed to find out. I checked pearsonvue ~8:20/8:30 my status changed from 'no results available' to 'taken.'
OMG this was it. I was about to find out if I really did in fact pass. The next 40 mins. or so were tough. 8:53AM, I decided oh what the heck I'll take my chances. I looked at my states BON because again I heard sometimes they post quicker than PV. AHHHHHHH there it was.... My name as RN!!!! Praise the good Lord. Thus, PVT worked in my case. As for what I used to prepare?
1. ATI real life scenarios and their live review mostly, but also their skills videos and practice tests
2. NCLEX 4000
3. PASSPOINT PrepU to try & desensitize myself from test anxiety or neg. thinking. I made sure to take one full length mock exam anywhere from 75 to 100 Qs a day up until my test week. I stopped when I felt that I was getting a consistent mastery level of 8. I think this one helped me out a lot. Especially once you reach their highest mastery level.
4. Saudners testing strategies the book and the online questions
5. PRAYERS, OMG I can't stress this enough. I prayed, I asked friends and family to prayer and I would even ask people at church to prayer for me. I also recommend the following look for the St. Anthony of Padua prayer, St. Joseph of Cupertino, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Jude and the beautiful Caritas community website in honor of Mary of Medjugore. Even if some are not religous people it couldn't hurt to try something new right?
Ok, and thats my experience in a nutshell. Good luck to everyone. You can do it. Nothing is impossible.
God Bless.

I am getting the good pop up, but can anyone explain why my BON account page has an Activities* option, one of them being registration for reexamination? Is that a normal thing??
