I wanted to share this information because just last night I was frantically searching for it myself and couldn't find anything current. The date today is 2/10/16. I took NCLEX yesterday and I know I passed because my name is listed as having an active license from the state. However, the Pearson Vue Trick did not work for me! Even right now, knowing that I passed, it is still letting me register for a new test!
So, if it lets you register please do not rely on this alone! You still may have passed!
I hope this is helpful to someone who is out there thinking they failed because the almighty Pearson Vue Trick didn't work for them!
Were you able to get your money back after finding out you actually passed? I did the trick for a friend of mine (using my CC) and it re-registered her to take the exam but she finished her test in 75 questions and I feel like she passed… and I want my money back!
No. It's non refundable per Pearson Vue TOS.
Word, nurses of the interwebz.
I took my NCLEX on April 13th @ 8am EST after I took a 4 month hiatus after graduating Dec 12th to find my inner child playing video games (finally I'm freeeeee!!!) and working to catch up on bills. I didn't pick up a book until 4/9/16 after months of Coca-Cola and Pizza parties on my couch after work enjoying life -- the great indoors as we know it. My pug, Clyde, kept me company licking the pizza grease from my fingers because paying for napkins is for fools, fools I say... back to my story.
I graduated from a ADN program in lil' ole North Carolina that I struggled in constantly. I made B's and C's in every nursing class when I got into nursing school and ruining my perdy 3.8 GPA. I tried the PVT trick in the intervals of 1, 6, 8, 12, and +24 hrs now. All of the times I tried I got the GOOD POP UP using my CC and pressing submit. I don't refer to it as being a 'risk' as some others since if I had failed I would have had to repay again, anyways. I worked 14 hrs today and tried it as soon as I got home (4/14/16) @ 1830 EST and got the GOOD POPUP!
So I will update others just to share my results because I have pretty much read everyone's I could find here at AN.com since finishing my NCLEX exam.
Note: I studied for 4 days, 8+ hrs a day reviewing crap I forgot and doing Kaplan questions. 150 a day and reviewing everything in each question and strengthening my medical vocabulary.
Oh, is that so? Thanks! I have a question, in my case do you think i definitely failed the exam?
Does your state not do Quick Results? Have you searched the registry online to see if your name shows up? PVT is never a "sure thing", I'd try and find out for sure if you failed before reapplying with the state. But if you do need to re-take it, yes, you have to go through the whole application process again. Good luck!
Hello! Please please help! I just took the NCLEX yesterday, and nothing has been posted on Pearsonvue nor with my state. I re-registered and my credit card was charged and I received the order acknowledgement.
Please tell me, did you fully re-register? Did you enter your credit card info and hit submit?
Hi! What exam did you take? Did you pass?

I'm really sorry to say but, you just paid another test. If it took your money, it really means she failed.
