The original thread (part 1) is now closed. here is a continuation of the same topic (part 2) with the following links:
Part 1 (the original thread)--
Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?
Poll to take once you have received your response--

3) click 'register' on the right side.
4) click the 'credit card' link.
5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

7) enter your password.

10) select your test type.
11) click the button.
12) select your country.
13) click the button.
14) answer the yes/no questions.
15) select your country again.
16) select your state.
17) type in your city.
18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.
19) select your school.
20) select the month and year of your graduation.
21) select your board of nursing.
22) click the button.
Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick
I tested for the 6th time today and computer shut off at 75-76 questions. It had cut off between 89-110 each of the last 3 previous attempts, so I thought for sure I had failed again. I came home and tried the PVT only to get the GOOD pop up! I sure hope this works, I have been on cloud 9 all day!! :)

This time you passed...you might as well start writing your name with RN after it now, just to get used to it! :) Congratulations I am SO happy for you!!
This thread is entirely too long to check but I assume the trick works in Idaho. Took the test today, tried the trick immediately and it was too soon. Gave it about six hours and it worked (I hope), I got the "good" pop-up.
Will update when I get results so others can know if this is valid for Idaho.
Still can't believe that test, it is evil! I studied from Saunders and Kaplan, probably did over 5,000 questions, memorized all lab values, cranial nerves, and a bunch of other specific items, none of which were on NCLEX. Anyway, good luck to anyone else slaying the giant soon!
Hi everyone.. I took My NCLEX PN On July 15th and tried the PVT trick On July 21st and received "Our records indicate that you recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." Which I believe is the "good pop up".. I went all the way to 205 questions with 1 hour and 30 minutes left.. I left there feeling scared but tried not to doubt myself because I know God is on my side.. I started to cry when I got the pop up sign because I am thee most inpatient person ever & felt as if I didn't answer any questions correctly. My sister on the other hand, took the test yesterday on the 20th and tried the trick and it took her straight to the credit card page (her pc stopped at 86 questions)...
I'm not sure how true this is as I want both of us to pass, I'm just nervous and scared, I have a lot of pressure riding on my shoulders, may this trick be true for me

Thank you so much for clarifying this, I thought there was a "trick" in taking the exam; So far I have had good results when studying with Saunders hopefully when I sign up to take my test I pass the 1st time. :):):)
