Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

i got the bad pop up today so sad:( it really sucks im starting to feel like im not meant to be a nurse

Hey,

My daughter and I felt that way too when we left the test on Friday. We were just lucky that we passed. She had 75 questions and I had to sit through 265 of them. Please don't get discouraged. We had a girl at our school that failed 4 times before she passed, so just because you failed does not mean that you were not meant to be a nurse. Hey, you made it all the way through nursing school, you just have one more step to go. I know it cost money everytime, but I definitely would not stop trying. :)

You will still get the same pop up....forever

Wecandothis: are you getting the same thing when u log in Pearson Vue? No more delivery successful? and still getting the pop up? I'm kinda scared to the PVT now.

1st time user, long time reader of forum. Had to join, found the questions very interesting. I have two questions; what is pvt trick? and I bought a saunders 3rd edition for nclex-pn review. Anyone else use this book? and does it help? Thanks so much

Merged with existing thread, have a good read especially the first post

Specializes in Pediatrics - hoping to get into the NICU.

To my NCLEX-RN today at 8am. Had 75 questions. Left the exam center thinking that the exam was not as hard as everyone claims.....I though that it was fair. But this may also be because I studied. I studied questions and content. I did not take any review classes. Just used Saunders, LaCharity, and Kaplan Strategy book.

Jusy tried the PVT Trick and I got the "Good Pop-Up".....I don't believe it. Is this trick for real. I keep thinking how could I have passed this exam. We will see. I will post back once I get my official results.

Specializes in Respiratory Step Down, telemetry, hospice.

Took the NCLEX-RN this morning....just about wanted to walk out into traffic after it was finished. Answered ALL 265 he**ish questions...went to Pearson Vue...said my test was submitted successfully and I got the good pop up.....still not going to count my chicken before they are hatched :anpom:

I 100% believe this trick. I was hesitant at first and thought, "no this can't be true" but after seeing the results...i believe it.

Pearson vue trick works 100%, so far all my friends who have tried it and has gotten the good pop up has passed. I took my nclex on the 15th of July and felt really confident and comfortable leaving the center. I was not worried at all, I got home and did the PVT only about an hour later and got the good pop up. I finished with 75 q's and most were priority questions, sata, and medications which some looked very odd but I knew what they were by grouping the ends of drugs such as beta blockers "lol" endings.

Anyways the board just updated the website today with my license number and info. This was all in CA if anyone is wondering.

Now time for me to find a job. I know it's been said plenty of times but if you can reregister consider jumping back on the books asap without waiting because chances are unfortunate as it may be, you failed......Just pick yourself up and go for it again, this test is manageable. I used nothing but Kaplan to study for it, I had the review coorifice if anyone was wondering. Good luck everyone!

hi, im an lvn and just took my NCLEX-RN last friday and im from CA...i honestly did not believe the trick..but it works!!!...on friday i was so sad because the test was soo hard...and i answered 205 questions!!!! and im like darn...all my classmates from school only answered 75...maybe the trick only works for them because its 75..but IT WORKED FOR ME!!! because today i found out im an RN!!!! =) pls believe!!

Took test Thursday and got good popup. Name appeared this morning on BRN website. This trick worked for me... I'm an RN, I have a license number!

hey,

i just saw your post. the pearson vue is really not a trick at all. i wished it was not called that. what happens after you take your exam, peason vue automatically updates their system as to whether you passed or failed. so, if a person that actually passed got home and went back on the website, logged in under their password, and tried to register again, it would not let them because it is not going to let them pay another $200 when they have already taken the exam and passed. after you get to the screen where you put in your school info and graduation date and hit enter, a message would pop up saying, "our records indicate that you recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time."

if a person failed and went back on the website and logged in and tried to register again, it would let them get past the screen with the school info and take them to the credit card screen because the system knows that the person failed and needs to retake the test. therefore, they will not receive a "message pop up", but be allowed to continue on through the entire registration process.

also, when you log will see some info in the middle of the screen that has the type of test you are taking, the date, etc. if it does not say delivered successfully out beside that info after you get back home from taking the test, then the system has not updated your test and it would do no good to hit "register" over to the left side of the screen. you need to wait a little while and then go back and try again.

anyway, i didn't mean for this post to be so long. oh, i used the saunders for rns and it is a really great book. it breaks everything down and has some great practice exams on the cd. hope you pass. if not, please don't give up and just keep trying. it will be worth it in the end.
