Part 1 (the original thread)--
Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?
Poll to take once you have received your response--
Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results
Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:
1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.
2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.
3) click 'register' on the right side.
4) click the 'credit card' link.
5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.
6) enter your username.
7) enter your password.
? click the button.
9) click 'register' on the left side.
10) select your test type.
11) click the button.
12) select your country.
13) click the button.
14) answer the yes/no questions.
15) select your country again.
16) select your state.
17) type in your city.
18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.
19) select your school.
20) select the month and year of your graduation.
21) select your board of nursing.
22) click the button.
Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick
Gary, I find it odd you took such offense at gymmom's tongue and cheek comment- while all of us should take care to remember not everyone can drink, I would request that you remember not everyone has problems with drinking- most of us can go out and have a few to blow off steam now and then no problem.
Besides, her comment was not directed at you or anyone specifically- she was saying she would like to personally drink if she was a drinker
What is this BON thing everyone is talking about where they checked their names? I did the trick this morning and got the good pop up but im still so unsettled. My exam was horrible. It almost felt like every other question was a SATA and the drugs were drugs i had never before seen. I actually thought i was given an RN instead of a PN exam. I was so totally disoriented when i left the testing center and ive been sick to my stomach since. Even the trick is not consoling me because of the way i thought I answered the questions. What is BON?
nyaloro - BON stands for Board of Nursing, and each state's got its own BON website, usually, where you can check for official results. Usually this comes in the form of your new shiny license number, a few days after the results are unofficial via Pearson, though I've seen some people on here who had spectacular turnaround time and had numbers within a few days of actually writing - around the same time as the unofficial Pearson results came out!
Just took NCLEX-RN today at 2:00pm. It ended at 75 questions and I did not know what to make of the test. I left thinking I could not have studied or prepared any harder for this test. So now I am home after getting a drink (which I highly reccomend after your test) and I wanted to resrach other's experiences and stumbled upon this trick. I tried it and got th "good pop-up." So we shall see. I am definitely checking my BON website tomorrow and Friday to see if the license number is there or not. Waiting is torture!!!!
I also did the trick about an hour after I tested on 7/9/10. Got the good pop up. All of my classmates who have taken the NCLEX have done the trick, got the good pop up and got passing results through quick results. Took a few days for my license status to be listed as active on the WA State DOH website though. Good luck!
Just took the nclex a couple hours ago. i did the pearsonvue trick and got the good pop up. Has anyone failed after getting the good pop up??? i am having a panic attack waiting for the results. i have a credential # on Wa state's website but it says pending. Good thing or bad thing? I can't handle the wait!![/quote']Merged with existing thread
If you live in Texas review 301.258 part C subsection 2 of the Nurse Practice Act. If you fail NCLEX the Texas BON immediately revokes your GN license. So if you get on the BON website and try to verify your GN license and it doesn't appear or if you check RN verification and it doesn't appear then you failed. This has been proven to work with people I know have failed. Works faster and more reliable than Pearson Vue trick. I found out I was an RN before my quick results were ready. Never paid the quick results fee. Anyways read that part of Nurse Practice Act.
