Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

OMG my name is now listed in Ca BON! PVT works!!!

Good Luck all!!!

I took the NCLEX yesterday at 0800...felt so bad after leaving! It was definitely, without a doubt, the hardest test I have ever taken! But after weeks of studying (Davis, LaCharity, Hurst), I came home to the good pop-up! And today...the AZBON site says Pass NCLEX-RN. WOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! PVT really works!

Is anyone having difficulties with the website? I am getting a lot of "This service is unavailable" when I select the credit card link, and I have made it past that screen once, to only get the same error message after selecting the yes/no questions and selecting my school. Ugh, I just want to see if I get the good pop up or not :(

Specializes in medical surgical, pediatrics.

Just took my NCLEX-RN this morning......I got the "good pop up"...but still eager to get my actual results.

Specializes in Orthopedic, LTC, STR, Med-Surg, Tele.

Took my NCLEX this afternoon.. Shut off at 75 questions, honestly didn't know if I passed or failed but didn't freak out, did the PVT and I got the good popup! I'm happy for now but I'll be REALLY excited when I see my name, RN! :)

That was one HELLAFIED Monstrosity of a test!!! No amount of studying can prepare you for it! Don't get me wrong Study and study HARD..but it is Critical thinking at its best, or worst depending on how you look at it. Critical thinking, Prioritizing, Delegation. It's like they WANT you to guess, your best guess your EDUCATED GUESS! I took the NCLEX-PN on Monday and felt like I Never went to school. Can't remember a damn thing stopped on 85 and felt like I was on auto pilot the whole time. I left that place thinking..did I just take the STATE BOARDS? What was that? Well nevertheless i came home and checked the PVT and "GOOD POP UP" So I am hoping that it mean I passed. Will let other know. 3 of my class mate used it and they passed got the good pop up. 2 of my class mates used it and went straight through to CC and failed. I know it is not official but it does ease my mind and i can actually Breath.

Will keep yall posted. Good luck to all.

YAAAAAY CONGRATS!!!

omg my name is now listed in ca bon! Pvt works!!!

Good luck all!!!

congrats!! Yaaaaaaaa for you

Okay so I took my boards on Friday. I came home had a successful delivery status, it went to credit card payment . I was desperate for someone to tell me the PVT wasnt always accurate, but it is. I got my quick results yesterday, I failed :crying2:. I had a pity party this weekend, and am now over it and want to go back in 45 days and kick some NCLEX-RN butt!!! I know what my problem was, I panicked after the computer didnt shut off at 75 questions, I just dont know what to do to get past that self panic? Can anyone help me with relaxing, any words of wisdom? I would appreciate any and all tips as to going in there the next time and putting this all behind me. I was hired in my dream job straight out of school and I dont want to lose this.....Please help!

First, don't look at the number. Take your time. You have plenty of time to take it. So if you need to take a couple breaks do so. stretch a lot, sit up in the chair, lay back in the chair, hum to yourself.. do not stare STRAIGHT into the computer fixated. look away some like at the wall behind it..the scratch pad, the earphones draw on the scratch pad..doodle. anything to relax you... hope some of my tips work

i got a bad pop-up i took nclex for 2nd time i wish im goona make it the 3rd time im so disappointed i practice morethan 6000 question and study morethan 6-8hrs a day, i alsp go to barnes n novel to read different question and answer practice test, and i also lost my job, so unlucky,, i realy wish that i gonna make it the 3rd time,i get a job ,,good luck to evry one god bless congratulation for those who pass

For all who need study tips. Pearson EXAM CRAM is excellent! The book is not that expensive and it comes with a CD that you can take practice test on.

Things to focus on

Electrolytes levels

Delegation

Infection Control

Prioritizing

ABC, Airway, Breathing, Circulation (but don't be stuck on that because they will rarely have airway as one of the answers) so go to the next MOST CRITICAL problem. Talk it out ask yourself..HMM who's gonna die FIRST if I don't go see them.

Pediatrics... What should child be doing at this age

Maternity.......Eclampsia, Postpartum norms, newborn norms

Pharm..... forget it you will never know the drugs they ask about LMAO (but you can figure what class they fall into) Like the Prils, the statins, the olols.. then look at the answer that match the class of drugs the best

If yah getting a lot of select all that apply..Take this time to RELAX...they are REALLY testing you now... pick the ones you KNOW YOU KNOW then move on. Talk it out..if a answer is iffy then forget it...if a answer is iffy but you think Hmm I heard that somewhere then pick it.

Multiple Choice.... Eliminate dumb answer fast... If you are unsure about the other two talk it out...and pick the most familiar looking one.... If one answer you have NEVER seen before but the other three seems stupid the NEVER seen before answer is prolly the one...;

OK well thats enough for now lol

Hope some of this helps
