Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

Help!!! Took NCLEX today and had all 265 questions!!!!! Did the PVT and got the "good" pop up...... Is this a good sign that I actually passed?????

So, it was right for me, I got my quick results and PASSED! Take that SATA q's!

i think thats the key. the SATA questions are the hardest ones, so if you get a lot of those, that means you are consistently above the passing line. If you get easy questions, I would be a lot more worried.

congrats and welcome to nursing!!:yeah:

I took my test Thursday at 8am. Was horrified when it gave me question 76, thought if I passed it would have stopped at 75. Went on into the 80's then turned off. It was all a blur after the 75th question and I'm sure I failed. With nothing to lose I logged in as soon as I got home, which was about 30 minutes later. I logged in and took all the steps, entered my board and got a pop up that said I could not reregister because I had already registered for the test...(the good pop up) but did not include "contact your member board." So I tried again a few hours later and got the complete message with "contact your member board" included in the pop up. I felt relieved! But as I read through the other posts my heart sank. A few posts stated that it had to say the results were "delivered". When I did the trick I didn't bother to see if the results had been delivered yet. Does this mean the pop up is invalid? I checked again before bed and was still getting the good pop up. I decided to try and get quick results this morning and it said my results were not available. Now I feel like maybe I tried the trick too soon and maybe I did fail. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Too afraid to get on and try again. Thank you ahead of time for your responses.

Because you are asking about teh PVT trick threads merged for continuty

That was what I had read, too. However, I don't feel that I got a ton of SATA, maybe 10ish, and had a few really easy ones! I was freaked but passed with 75! It is totally random so I don't know that it really matters how many SATA one gets.

it works! took nclex on thursday (jan 20, 2011) at 8 AM with 114 questions and got the good pop-up at 11 AM the same day. Did quick results at 8 AM today (saturday) and found out that I passed!!:dancgrp:

It worked for me!! I was VERY skeptical. I swore I would be the only one that it did not work for and I was very worried they fixed it in 2011. I took the NCLEX RN in California on 1/8/11 and I found out today I passed!! I got 96 questions, tried the PVT three hours later and got the good pop up. Thank GOD for it! I owe him everything. My friend got all 265 questions, got the "on hold" pop up for two days then got the good pop and she passed! The trick WORKS!!! Thank you for discovering it!!:nurse:

I took my RN exam on thurs Jan 20, 2011 and I tried the trick the next day and got the "pop up message". I found out today I passed!!!

Does anyone know if the pvt only works if the boards have you transcript already? Can it work if my transcript is not available yet. I took the NCLEX in California and got the good pop up everytime since I last took it which was 1/18 Tuesday. Thanks!

I am in Alabama and took NCLEX-RN this morning. I went through all 265 questions and walked out balling like a 2 year old. Of course when I got home I started researching everything you can think of including how often people take the entire test and what happens if I fail. I then read about people talking about this trick so I tried it. I get the good pop-up so this has relieved me some. I checked it around an hour after I was done testing and have checked it continously and it still says the same thing. I am still not a true believer and I won't be until I get my official results. But has anyone else in Alabama done this and it worked and has anyone else taken all 265 and it worked?

Took my NCLEX today and comp shut off after 75 Q. I then went home and paced around my room, hesitant to try this trick. I finally did and got the good pop-up! I Good luck to everyone.

Took NCLEX on 1/21. Got the good pop up this morning, which is so reassuring. I'm like everyone else, I won't officially believe it until my license posts. But it sure was nice to have some type of reassurance. Good luck to everyone yet to take the exam or nervous about trying the PVT. I've included a screen print to show what it looks like so that you guys have a visual ?
