The original thread (part 1) is now closed. here is a continuation of the same topic (part 2) with the following links:

Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

so far it seems as if it works 100%. ive been reading all the pages since i took my nclex and it's been spot on.

I took my PN NCLEX and it stopped at 85 questions...I got the "good" pop up but I find it hard to believe. Has anyone heard of the trick not working? Any ideas on how to get me through the next couple of days?

Because you are asking about the 'trick' merging with existing thread for continuity

Good luck with your official results soontobenurse.

I am curious if anyone has a very recent success story with the PVT - I have read hundreds of posts from months and years ago - but nothing relatively recent. There's a chance they could fix or change the loophole people have found to save them money.

I took my NCLEX, as well as a classmate, yesterday Saturday 20th 2010 - And as of last night, and the following morning (this morning) - we both are getting the good pop up.

Both had all 205 questions.

Any recent folk?

Thanks and sorry for posting another PVT thread - just wanted to hear from the recent people.

Oh, I am doing this in California, by the way.

Took my nclex on Saturday the 20th 2010. Good pop up that night. Good pop up the following morning (this morning).

Went all the way to the max at 205. Same with my friend. Both have good pop up.

Skeptical - of course.

In California - So it will be a few weeks before my results get to me. Lame state.

mm it's a bit frustrating that some who took the nclex a week after myself have already gotten their results =/ California, why are you so ssslooww?

How long has it been? And where in CA are you guys located? How long until your friends got their official results?

took mine yesterday in CA - waiting game.

Merging with existing thread. We request that all questions regarding the trick is asked in the one place and the thread is recent for all states

I took mine the 27th of October in Ontario. I had a friend take hers at the same location a week later, and she received her letter on Friday.

Yeeesss! The Pearson Vue Trick worrksss! I have to admit that I was skeptical but I took my test on November 18th, 2010 @ 8am. The computer shut off at 75 questions. About 3 hours after my test was over, I tried to re-register for the NCLEX exam and a box popped up saying that I had recently scheduled an exam and to contact my member board! (That is the good pop-up). I was still unsure but yesterday, November 20th I got my quick results saying that I PASSEEDDDD! :) Believe it, the pearson vue trick def. worked for me :)

Been reading this tread since I got out of the testing center yesterday & haven't slept at all yet. My test was horrible! I got out of there thinking what the heck was that. Im %100 certain I failed...the questions looked too easy for me yet I didn't know what the heck was the correct answer. Nothing I expected...I went home crying & tested the pearson vue trick and got this message when I tried to reregester..." Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time". What does this meeaaannnnn? could this be for reals?!!!! I really hope the trick is accurate. tomorrow I'm hoping to get the quick result. Whatever the result all thanks and praises to the Lord.
