So this is my second time taking the NCLEX RN exam and the first time I tried the PVT and got the credit card declined message which was heartbreaking especially after taking the entire 265 questions. Sure enough two days later I got the quick results with a big FAT FAIL. I just took the boards today August 15th 2015 and immediately check d the PVT as I had an accurate instance last time but this time I got the good message or popup. Of course I am still paranoid so I am waiting for the 24 hour deadline before I check again then I'm gonna check the unofficial results at the 48hour mark. I have been checking non stop almost every hour since I completed the exam and keep getting no the good pop up. I will keep everyone updated.
Thank you for clarifying. How long does it take to get the ATT email? I registered with boards on 8/14 and pearson on 8/23. I know my transcripts have been sent by school and I did fingerprints too. After getting ATT what is availability at the Pearson centers?
I have a conditional job offer if i get my license in the next two weeks so i am really getting anxious now. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It can take 2-4 weeks post application to get an ATT. I believe once you pass FL issued licenses pretty quickly. As far as test availability it's a fluid schedule and the further you are willing to travel & flexibility the more options you have.
I received my ATT at 2:30p on a Monday earliest test date was that Thursday at 8am. My classmate received her ATT at 3:30p and was able to test in the same center the next day at 5pm. A classmate who received year ATT three weeks earlier had to go out of state or wait 4 weeks for a date when she scheduled
I can appreciate the concern over making a $200 donation, however, I know for a fact the card holder retains the authority. So, by calling the credit card company and stating you made a mistake and when you realized it was erroneous, you could not get your money back, the credit card company will almost always side with the customer/card holder.
Still- I would not suggest trying the back-door way to see if you passed. It's safer not to use your card that way. But, when I worked in merchant banking, I do know, nearly every single time, no matter how bogus the claim was, if the cutomer demanded a refund, the customer got the refund.
Doesn't matter the "agreement" you click "yes" to... In my experience, anyway. :)

Interesting.....I guess I'd have to throw in my own anecdotal experience (that's all any of us really have, right?). Getting a charge reversed that I did not owe took a LOONG time, and required significant proof on my part that I did NOT authorize the charge. I assure you that the credit card company would never NEVER have accepted "I just made a mistake...kept hitting 'yes'....TWICE....so I want my money back". The thought is laughable, based on MY experience!
I once had a charge placed by an autobody shop in a State in which I do not live. Nowhere near it, thousands of miles away. One I WAS vacationing in, and WAS in during the time the charge was made. HOWEVER, I had to go through a process of proving I FLEW to the State (did not drive my own vehicle).....RENTED a car (which I then had to prove I did not repair, let alone change the tires).....and even then it took weeks to clear the investigation. Oh, and the signature on the receipt was so very clearly NOT mine. Still took a long time, and it was completely fraudulent.
Wonder how well it'd go over if the dispute was really that I just didn't want to pay it, and claim I stupidly kept submitting authorization after authorization? I can't imagine it would ... ?
I took the nclex PN for California august 24 and still waiting for the result. This waiting game is killing me. I know its crazy but i've been doing the trick everyday and luckily keeps getting the good pop up. I just keep praying that Hopefully this is true because honestly I didnt study hard. I only studied for 2 weeks atleast 2 hours. I really did not expect to get the good pop up thats why when i saw it I almost pee'd my self lol. I already took nclex RN once in 2010 but i failed and reregistered in 2011 but i didnt showed up at the testing site ;(( hopefully this time its really a good news

I wonder if you missed the posts about why constantly doing the PVT is a bad idea? That one of those times you are authorizing a charge, you might just find yourself out $200? That it has nothing to do with whether you passed, you offered the money and they took it? And that it's non-refundable because you obviously knew you were authorizing that charge? Might want to reconsider this practice.

Good luck to you. I just hope that, as a patient, I will never find myself in the same room with a nurse who failed NCLEX once, didn't show the second and spent 28 hours studying the third.

As a patient, you want a licensed nurse. If he gets licensed after two attempts at the NCLEX, what difference would it make to you (the patient) how many or how few hours he studied? Answer: it won't.
You should also consider that if you are going to be so judgmental about THIS (two attempts), how will you respond to those who have taken it three, four, five times.....but yet hold the same license you (hopefully) will hold? You still have to take it...right?

Hello. Congratulations on passing NCLEX and thanks for sharing info about pearson vue. how long did you have to wait for ATT? does it come from pearson or FL nursing board?
