Pearson Vue Trick as of August 2015

Published

So this is my second time taking the NCLEX RN exam and the first time I tried the PVT and got the credit card declined message which was heartbreaking especially after taking the entire 265 questions. Sure enough two days later I got the quick results with a big FAT FAIL. I just took the boards today August 15th 2015 and immediately check d the PVT as I had an accurate instance last time but this time I got the good message or popup. Of course I am still paranoid so I am waiting for the 24 hour deadline before I check again then I'm gonna check the unofficial results at the 48hour mark. I have been checking non stop almost every hour since I completed the exam and keep getting no the good pop up. I will keep everyone updated.

Tested at 1:30 yesterday and did the pop up today and my card was charged. Did I not wait long enough? I **** off at 140. Feel discouraged

It looks as if you did not pass according to the PVT trick but the only DEFINITE way is to get your quick results... Keep us updated!!

Better to go ask a different thread or perhaps start your own, they don't like posts that aren't related to the topic...

You can only get a false negative not a false positive if you wait the full 24 hours to try it.so make sure you use a legit card but have less than 200 on their so you will not lose it if you actually pass.

There are no guarantees. It's exploitation of a registration glitch.

Every classmate and nurses that I know the trick has worked for. In the lpn and rn Program. People just fail to do the pvt correctly. Pearson vue glitch is actually accurate.

It's neither accurate nor reliable Ask the candidate who did the test after 24hr and couldn't re-register assumed

and found out it was a failure 24hrs later. It's "accurate" at times but so is a magic 8 ball.

I know at least 2 personally who thought they passed (and did the "trick" "correctly" as I watched them myself) but sadly when they paid for quick results it was a failure.

I know I'm not going to change your made up mind based upon your anecdotal personal experience. But as nurses we need to be careful when speaking in absolute

Out of 100,000s people their has been how many what 2% who have had malfunctions with the system. It's never an absolute but MOST of the time it is accurate. Did the trick work for you?

Keep believing that if it works for you. Prior to 8/2014 it may have been 2%. But 2,000 inaccuracies per 100,000 for an unverified registration glitch is a lot.

My choice is not relevant but I also tested way before the system changed in 2014. If I tested today, I'd relax for two days and wait for accurate quick results just like I did then.

We all need to make choices, just perpetuating an unofficial myth that has been significantly more inaccurate in the past year, especially if someone repeatedly attempts to submit information ---quite a few were hit with $200 holds on their account when submitting credit card info over & over again.

The 2% are usually false negatives. Their is no need to go back and forth I just want everyone to pass.

If it was accurate it wouldn't be called a "trick" and test takers would have access to their scores immediately, and not have to wait 48 hours for quick results.
