So this is my second time taking the NCLEX RN exam and the first time I tried the PVT and got the credit card declined message which was heartbreaking especially after taking the entire 265 questions. Sure enough two days later I got the quick results with a big FAT FAIL. I just took the boards today August 15th 2015 and immediately check d the PVT as I had an accurate instance last time but this time I got the good message or popup. Of course I am still paranoid so I am waiting for the 24 hour deadline before I check again then I'm gonna check the unofficial results at the 48hour mark. I have been checking non stop almost every hour since I completed the exam and keep getting no the good pop up. I will keep everyone updated.

Did you get your result already? I took the exam august 24 and got my result Sept. 21. Best thing you can do is call them and ask about the status of your result exam.

The QA review of every NCLEX is done within 24 hours of completion of the exam. The first score is immediate, which is why your test closed when it did. At some unknown point during the following 24 hours, a Quality Assurance evaluation of the exam is performed. Not 48 hours. You are confusing that with the time frame Pearson Vue takes before making Quick Results available (in those States that participate).
You are taking anecdotal evidence and putting it forth as valid. That would be poor practice if applied to nursing.
QuoteIt's called a TRICK because it wasn't meant by PEARSON to work but people found out that it does so.THAT is WHY people continue to try the TRICK!
No, it's called a 'trick' because it's a GAME. When the registration software is operating without any issues whatsoever, it SHOULD reject a payment when someone is attempting a duplicate registration (which is exactly WHAT the trick is). However....it's a computer program that is NOT 100% foolproof; just ask the fools who found this out by having their $200 authorized charge go through!
It's not as if Pearson Vue is a villain in the corner of the room, wringing his hands and crying out "Thwarted again!"....LOL.....it's against the Terms of Service of the registration to attempt a duplicate one, so anyone doing so is doing it at their own risk....and deserves whatever they get.

YOU'VE COMPLETED THE NCLEX - BUT YOU STILL HAVE QUESTIONS
This brochure is for candidates who have just completed the NCLEX. Here, candidates can find information on how their results are processed, what happens if they don't pass the exam, the NCLEX Quick Results Service, and who they can contact if they have a problem with the NCLEX or its administration.

DOUBLE CHECKING YOUR RESULTS
For quality control purposes, every NCLEX is scored twice; once by the computer at the test center and then after the exam record has been transmitted to Pearson VU
The guidelines are 48 hours for the quick results. And for PVT you should not put $200.00 on the card! Just use a valid card. Some people act like they do not want others to be nurses I'm not saying any names but they know EXACTLY WHO I AM TALKING ABOUT!

What on earth ARE you talking about? You aren't making much sense. Those of us who have been keeping up on NCLEX changes (and along with that, the endless PVT queries) simply pass on what we know to those who WANT to know. YOU, it seems, are equating that with not wanting others to be nurses...? Makes no sense.
Keep believing that if it works for you. Prior to 8/2014 it may have been 2%. But 2,000 inaccuracies per 100,000 for an unverified registration glitch is a lot.My choice is not relevant but I also tested way before the system changed in 2014. If I tested today, I'd relax for two days and wait for accurate quick results just like I did then.
We all need to make choices, just perpetuating an unofficial myth that has been significantly more inaccurate in the past year, especially if someone repeatedly attempts to submit information ---quite a few were hit with $200 holds on their account when submitting credit card info over & over again.
Exactly. All we can do is educate. I think the idea that it's no biggie to use a valid card as long as there is only a few bucks on it is harmful to those who then get the "card declined" pop up. MOST of the time, it means the charge attempt was made because a new test is needed. SOME of the time, it just processes the authorized charge (and it can't with a low-funds card). Feel bad for those who suffer that mistake
I just took it today and of course I'm stressing, I had 208 questions, a ton of select all that apply, and they had the air conditioner blasting the entire time I tested haha it was brutal. But your post was helpful, I'm going to hold off on putting my credit card info on pearson vue and wait for the quick results, we get them in Ohio. I was wondering if you actually have to wait for 48hrs to get those
its been 6 days since i took my nclex.
i tried PVT yesterday with a wrong expiration date and it gave me the "good pop up" after clicking submit.
then i tried it with a wrong credit card number and it says invalid number try again.
so today i tried it again with a credit card that doesnt have money in it and it gave me another "good pop up" after clicking submit.
hmm.. what else to try it with lol i think thats pretty much it for now right?
before i couldnt sleep because all i kept thinking about was how i failed that test and that im too scared to try the pvt.
now i cant sleep because all i can think about is how accurate is this pvt and if i should even be feeling relieved after getting this pop ups.
=[ the waiting game continues.

You have to wait 48 hours because they grade the test twice. Which is why you should wait to do the trick. Also it is a way for them to make more money 7.95 to be exact by making people wait. It's called a TRICK because it wasn't meant by PEARSON to work but people found out that it does so.THAT is WHY people continue to try the TRICK!
