Pearson Vue Nclex Results Trick, Holiday Weekend

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

The Pearson Vue website has changed in regards to how you can check the "trick" pass or fail, as of late August, 2014. You do have to input your credit card info, and press SUBMIT, and be willing to have your cc charged if you did in fact fail.

I took mine nclex RN this labor day weekend, AUG 30th at 8am. MY second time taking it. I took my time this time, actually took a break at 75 questions, since last time I took no breaks and had 1 1/2hr left in time! This time the computer shut off at 105 questions, had about 75% SATA, no peds, no calculations, no labs, no ekg, a lot of who would you see first. Very different exam compared to the first one-I had many of calculations, ekg strip, peds and lab questions.

Once I got home, the "old" trick did not work as it took me to the credit card page, I cried..but then my husband googled that Pearson Vue has changed the trick 2 days prior! I read the links confirming that by other nclex takers. So with that, I did put my cc info, clicked SUBMIT, and I got the good pop up! But with all the new changes I was not sure to believe this 100%. Sooooo....

You DO get your results in 48hrs, even if it is a holiday weekend! This morning I payed the $7.95 and got my unofficial results. I PASSED!!!

Hope this information will help future nclex takers and puts their minds at ease :)

P.S. I studied only Kaplan Qbank questions. About 50-100 per day. Reviewed all the rationales, as that is where all your content info is as well. Did about 1300, with an average of 60%

Congratulations. Seeing quick results available yesterday (and a pass!) must have felt wonderful.

Thank you !! That was the best feeling in the world ! I cried lol !!

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

I did the same when I got my quick results years ago. I never walked out of an exam with no idea whatsoever if I passed or failed

Awesome! Thankfully the results are available on a holiday wknd :)

You can always dispute the charge on your credit card if they do charge you after you've passed. It's not like you're stiffing Pearson Vue since you didn't get anything out of it (taking an actual exam) . That's why you use a credit card and not a debit card for a purchase like this. If your money is tied up for a bit with a credit card it's no biggie. Although I don't think I'll be doing this. I'll gladly pay the 8 bucks for unofficial results after 48 hrs.

No, you probably can't! There is a disclaimer that there is no refund, so the dispute would never fly. Also, if you dispute a credit card charge, you have to prove that the person you paid did not fulfill their end of the purchase, so the cc company calls PV and PV tells them that you chose to pay for a service before you knew if you needed/wanted it. I don't know of any cc company that will allow the dispute to go through.

I have been reading only positive outcomes since the "trick" change has happened recently with Pearson Vue website. Please read 'Ultimate Nclex Resources' website under New Information On Pearson Vue Trick, for the current and all positive reviews from recent nclex takers.

Just a note to spread to the other website, and this applies to what is being called the 'new' PVT. We have had postings here with the following results:

Entered CC, got 'good' message after submit, official result: PASSED

Entered CC, got 'good' message after submit, official result: FAILED

Entered CC, got charged, official result: PASSED

Entered CC, got charged, official result: FAILED

Entered CC, card rejected due to insufficient funds, official result: UNKNOWN

It is factually correct that this new PVT is inconsistent, and definitely not 100%.

85% of people pass the NCLEX. Positive results after getting a 'good' message off the trick seem like it must mean the trick 'works', but this is not the case. It just means a lot of people pass, and many of them get the same pop-up.

By all means, if people are willing to risk $200, I won't stop them. But I do speak up when people offer that the 'trick' is 100% accurate because it most certainly is NOT. Spreading information that it is 100% accurate may encourage someone to take a risk, and cause a lot of heartache, that they would not otherwise take.

Best of luck to you.

I tried it 24hrs after my exam a few days ago and it charged my card.heartbroke n cried!!i sure hope it was a mistake.hoping i tried too early or something!i dont mind if i spent $200..finding out i passed anyways is a PRICELESS FEELING! Losing hours at wrk and losing hair from stress costs over $200 to recover from. Damn, for once in my life i wish i dont live it CALIFORNIA,sheesh.

If you received no message that your results were on hold, then they were finalized 24 hours after completion of your exam. The only reason it would take longer than 24 hours is if there was a Hold placed (and you'd get that message when you played the PVT).

If there was no hold at the time you tried to register, AND it allowed you to pay, AND it was at least 24 hours post test completion.....then that does indicate you failed.

Sorry.
