PCA at Mount Sinai

Published

Hi, could anyone tell me about the salary for Patient Care Associate at Mount Sinai hospital? I am interested in obtaining a position there. And do you know if they have a hospital training program, or do you already need your CNA certification, and Phlebotomy/EKG certificate. Please let me know. Any info would be great, Thanks :-)

They start at 15.78. Im not sure about the certification thing, they do take nursing students after a semester or two.

HI I would like to know if you currently work at mount sinai as a patient care associate and how do you like it.

Hi mymy1219, I do not work at Mount Sinai as a PCA. I am trying to get into there as one though. I am currently finishing my CNA course, I just have to do the nursing home clinical portion then take the state exam. I plan on applying there as soon as I am done. Are you a CNA?

Im doing the same thing I just finsihed my externship last week and now I have to take my state boards aug 5. Then i start my pct classes aug 8. So when i finish everything i with everthing and have all three certificates i will apply to mount sinai. I really cant wait to get into the health care field. I love it and I am happy I am taking these classes, This should give me a head start for when i get into nursing school . Good luck to you and what school are you attending for cna class.

That's great. You are in the same boat I am. Good luck to you. I took my cna class at the Manhattan Institute. I already did the Phlebotomy and EKG course there, so I just have the CNA externship left, then the boards. I can't wait til it is all over. I really want to work at Mount Sinai. It's such a great hospital, with a great reputation and benefits. More than anything I want the experience. Where did you do your CNA class?

Hi Restoration,

I was wondering if you could tell me a little more about this. I'm a nursing student at NYU and I'm starting my clinicals in the Fall. I'm on the accelerated program and I would like to have the opportunity to start working or get an internship/externship somewhere while I'm finishing my studies. Do you know if this is still going on and what are the requirements?

All info are greatly appreciated!

Kika

That would be real nice if we could work together:) how do you like manhattan institute.

:). I liked my teacher, but I felt like we should have gotten more hands on training concerning the clinicals. Practicing on my own at home is different. A little pricey but it was fast, and fit my schedule. I'm just thankful its over. I'm looking forward to the nursing home externship. Anxious for boards. Mount Sinai has a lot of PCA openings and I want to put my application in, as soon as possible. Where are you taking your boards?
