  1. You're welcome.
  2. I will, good luck to you too.
  3. I agree. I look almost every week. Well they should, it seems to be continuous. The end of September is around the corner, you should be set.
  4. :). I liked my teacher, but I felt like we should have gotten more hands on training concerning the clinicals. Practicing on my own at home is different. A little pricey but it was fast, and fit my schedule. I'm just thankful its over. I'm looking forward to the nursing home externship. Anxious for boards. Mount Sinai has a lot of PCA openings and I want to put my application in, as soon as possible. Where are you taking your boards?
  5. What a coincidence. Well, best of luck to you. Maybe we will work together some day :-)
  6. That's great. You are in the same boat I am. Good luck to you. I took my cna class at the Manhattan Institute. I already did the Phlebotomy and EKG course there, so I just have the CNA externship left, then the boards. I can't wait til it is all over. I really want to work at Mount Sinai. It's such a great hospital, with a great reputation and benefits. More than anything I want the experience. Where did you do your CNA class?
  7. Hi mymy1219, I do not work at Mount Sinai as a PCA. I am trying to get into there as one though. I am currently finishing my CNA course, I just have to do the nursing home clinical portion then take the state exam. I plan on applying there as soon as I am done. Are you a CNA?
  8. I took the CNA course at Manhattan Institute. I suggest you don't waste your time, money or energy. They are very unorganized. It seems to me that they only want your $$$. They said the course will cost $1399 with everything included, wrong it cost me almost $2,000. I feel there was not enough hands on training for the clinical skills and they were not very helpful with providing the proper instruction. I don't recommend this school. Save your $$$$$$$$!
  9. I got in!!!!:yeah:I'm so excited for this opportunity. Congrats to everyone else who got into other nursing programs! Here starts the beginning of a brand new journey for me.
  10. I took the CNA course at the Manhattan Institute. I am finished with the classroom portion, and I'm about to start the clinicals in the nursing home next week. It was a great class. I'm hoping getting my CNA certification will help me be more marketable for a hospital position. I will try and volunteer in the meantime to gain experience until I get hired. Thank you for your advice. My goal is to get a position at Mount Sinai hospital. :-). Good luck in your endeavors!:)
  11. Thank you! I appreciated the info. I had no idea. Good luck to you too :-)
  12. Did you finish all of your pre-requisites?
  13. I did okay. I didn't do as well as I would have liked though. I thought it was hard too. Some of those questions didn't make sense to me. I may have to take it over in November. I just wonder does that mean if I get accepted, will it be for Fall 2012? Did the acceptance letters start going out yet?
  14. Does anyone have any current info on this hospital? Starting salary, benefits, etc.?
  15. Does anyone know when the acceptance letters start going out for RCC Spring 2012?
