Applied to PBSC RN Program for Spring 2011. Playing the waiting game. I decided to apply to the Belle Glade Campus.....
anju, see page 5 on your info packet.
marsdgrove33133, you can sign up for classes now, in fact registration became available yesterday at midnight. it's going to be opened to other pbsc students pretty soon, so selecting them now would be a good move.
thanks for the info about the pharm class, i needed to hear that.

okay i don't know what is wrong with me. i don't see where they talk about the hesi exam.
Page 5 in my part time Lake Worth packet talks about the Hesi as well. Apparently we need to take it as a base line of where our strengths and weaknesses are.
As for the Pharm...I was taking it in a classroom this semester and had to withdraw for various reasons, so I think I am going to try it online. I read better things about the online teacher than I do the classroom teacher...and the tests are all online (except the final)...just think it would be more manageable with my schedule.
I am having the hardest time deciding about Pharm. Honestly I haven't heard anything GREAt about the class in general and basically that you need to teach yourself the material on your own. I just figured it would be most convenient for me to take it online this semester because I will be commuting from Fort Lauderdale for most of the year. I keep changing my mind....
Im pretty sure that there's only one person that teaches the online pharm this semester, so not much of a choice.
Bleh ... not to happy about taking the HESI. Already took the NLNPax and the TEAS V
I think the Hesi is supposed to be more like the teas, I think it has grammar and sentence structure on it, yikes for me, my big weakness.
Needed PPD and Flu shot for work anyway so that's done, getting the rest of the medical exam on Friday, taking the hesi in two weeks.
I feel it all progressing YEAH!!!

I am taking the HESI on Tuesday, have my medical on Monday. Already did the CPR cert...so yeah, I feel it coming together finally too. If you decide that you are going to take the pharm online, let me know, maybe we can do a study group or something? Just a thought.

hey guys....
yeah the hesi is like the nln. it's not that hard.
are you guys already signing up for classes? i just got off work? in other words, can we sign up now?
also a friend of mine who graduated last year from pbcc nursing told me that pharm should be taken in lecture and not online. if any class you want to take on line it would be the nursing lecture course. i think its the 1022 class, not sure. its stuff like the history of nursing and the fundies (i.e. hand washing, how to put on a gown, how to move a pt, etc) i think i'm going to do that route since we do it everyday. don't know, any thoughts?
