Applied to PBSC RN Program for Spring 2011. Playing the waiting game. I decided to apply to the Belle Glade Campus.....

Moving from Miami, finding a place in West Palm will probably be cheaper than what you are paying now I would think. Be careful about some areas, they can be rather seedy, but there are plenty of cost-efficient places in Palm Beach County that won't end with you getting shot lol. I'm not sure where the clinicals are going to be held, I imagine they could be just about anywhere in PBC, although I would think they are going to be around 45th Street because there are like 3 hospitals there. Just a guess though, I really have no idea haha. I intend to take as much as possible online so I can avoid going to school 5 days a week and avoid that awful commute to Lake Worth.

She took in class with one professor and ended up dropping it. The professor was a great lecturer but her lecture information had nothing to do with the test. The questions on the test were worded as if you had prior nursing knowlegde and like NCLEX questions.

She then took it over the summer and got a B with another professor. She said that the test questions were straight forward. Her advice is to study the book.

I have ordered the book and I am going to start making flash cards..

Lol yeah I'm from the northern end of Palm Beach County. It's pretty easy to tell where you should avoid in West Palm, like the area right around PBSC. DO NOT LIVE THERE. lol I have seen some scary stuff around there at night. I would probably look a little farther south or north of where the college is, maybe a little south to Boynton or Delray or something or north closer to Palm Beach Gardens. There are some nice places in West Palm itself, but I usually just see the areas around the college and they are pretty seedy lol. I'm not a big fan of the idea of strip clubs or vagrants being around the corner from my house, but maybe I'm just picky haha

i haven't heard much, but i know the program is difficult in general. i have to take pharm as well so that adds to it. have you decided on what you are going to do? i really want to move to lake worth because 2 hours of driving a day seems exhausting in addition to nursing school hours. which program did you get accepted to?

lol i know it's a little late, i can't use the computers at my job. i found out last night at work. this is my situation anju. i work as a medic in the er at palmetto hospital. it is located in hialeah (miami). no joke i work about 48 hours a week. i live in coral gables (south miami) which is about an hour and a half from lake worth. since now i know i got in, i want to move up there, however, realistically i don't see it happening. i am thinking of taking one of the nursing courses, i don't know which one, online and maybe commute two or three times a week. my problem is which course to take online and on which days. anyone have any thoughts on the matter? please feel free to jump in.

your first semester you have a lecture class, a clinical, a lab class and a pharmocology class if you have not take it. that being daid only the lecture and the phram are available online. hope that helps narrow it down a little.

and now the wait begins again...:) Has anyone received an email yet with any info other than we are in? We are supposed to sign up for classes tomorrow, but can we just sign up for whatever or are there certain time slots we are expected to sign up for? And does that include the Pharm? Or can we sign up for the Pharm for any time any campus?
