PBCC-palm beach comm. college

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

Thanks

LOL, I barely remember anything.....

I am the type of person if I dont use it, I lose it....

No school on fridays, and I am taking a break from studying :o)

I will talk to you soon

have a good day girl

Hey guys. I haven't posted in awhile. I had applied to the LW campus for Spring '09 but missed out by less than 1 point.

Anyway, I was curious if anyone is enrolled in the RN program online. I am planning to take the lecture online and of course go to LW for the skills lab and clinicals...

Just want to know what you think of online lecture vs. attending class. I have taken online classes forever now and don't seem to have a problem with it. The thing is I am in Jupiter, a bit far from LW.

Opinions anyone?

Thanks.

hey girl, i didnt know Pbcc has a online RN progarm? i thought that was only BCC. is this something new PBCC just started? tell me more

are you going to apply to IRCC also?

Well, you can either go to school for the lecture or take the lecture online. I have to run and pick up my son. I will write more when I get back.

jentro, ooh okay. i wasnt aware of that option.

Originally I was going to ONLY apply to IRC. I had taken a couple of classes at their Stuart campus and at the time was not aware the main campus was in Ft Pierce. Anyway, I went to their info session and found out that clinicals can be as far as 60 miles or so from my house... and I'd have to be there at 7:30am!!?!? No thanks. I believe they also give you the choice of taking the lectures online or at the campus in Ft Pierce.

What about you? Where are you applying?

I go to belle glade campus and we dont have that option

The lectures help out a little bit if that helps you...

2b- you can take the lecture online but only at lake worth

thats good to know i can do online. but no thank you...i despise online classes, my philosophy teacher left a scar on me. im not doing anymore online unless i TOTALLY have to.

jentro, i will not be applying to IRCC...a bit too far me.

Im in a dilema now i dont know what campus I should my app. LW of Belle glade.i guess i be more sure after i take the NLN test and see how many points i have.

what was the cut off for both campuses...do you know?
