Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

when you call ask for the department that handles school sponsorship and be sure to tell them you are already accepted in the Nursing program.

Thanks for all the info! I found another place that does something like this. They give you up to $6000 (lifetime maximum) but I really don't know much more about it yet as I just found the info. But I will look into both programs for sure.

And actually, Yes its for BCC, but I'm not in the program yet. Still working on pre-req's but wanted to get this info together so I have it when I am in the program.

workforce will only help you once your in the program but at least you know about them. do you care to share this other place that will assist please?

Sure. Sorry I didn't think about it before....it was still early and I was still half asleep. Its called Workforce One. Here's a link to the part of their site that talks about the money for training:

Second line up from the bottom there is a link to the qualified training that they will give money towards, along with the schools involved.

Oh really? I had no idea since it was 2 different sites, lol. Sorry. That makes it confusing they call it Workforce One and Broward Alliance. Oh well. If I find anything else, I'll pass it along.

Hi,

I have an appt with MS. Asmahan Chanti tomorrow morning. I will let you know how everything goes and what they will pay for. She did tell me they would pay for uniform and books only first semester, at least thats what I thought. I will find out more tomorrow. Yes she was very nice. Let you know how everything works out....

Hey Thunter, when will we know how much all of the books are going to be since they only have the old list up from 2008. I guess we cant go off of that for an estimate? Let me know what she asks you so I am prepared:)

I called the campus book store and they won't have the price list for about 2 weeks. Plus the lady said she doesn't have all the new books in yet. I will let you know what happens today.....

working as usual, i got a micro test coming up next week today i have the lab class today. DR. Coffman is so nice the same study guide is going to be the exam so i just have to find the correct answers and memorize.
