PBCC-palm beach comm. college

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

Thanks

Smallz!! Congratulations!!!! :balloons:

I received my application packet today! yeah:nuke:

Congrats thunter!!!!!!!!

Thanks 2BNURSE-1,

I called the workforce agency and spoke to the lady out there and she told me what I need to do and believe it or not they want you to work. It doesn't matter if you get denied from FAFSA, actually you need to get denied from FAFSA because the money comes from the same place. SHe said the first semester they will pay only for books and uniform, but next semester they will pay for anything. Every bit helps. This is awesome because I have 5 kids who all live at home so this will help me out tremendously. Thank you so much!!!!! :wink2:

thats wicked awesome thunter, just do what they tell you to do and you will get the funds and best of all there is no contracts involved when you are done with school.

will you be able to work through school? i know i will be :)

smallz, thunter and anyone else that got in the program. you should look into the workforce alliance program. they will pay for your nursing career all you have to do is show them your acceptance letter and few small paper work. they will even pay for your state boards, give you a monthly cash allowance for gas & food. believe me they dont let you jump thru hell to get their funds within a weeks time all the paperwork will be done (2 weeks max).

Wow 2bnurse-1!!! This is great! Is there something like this in Broward? Are you still planning on applying to BC?

2BNURSE1,

I am so excited this is awesome......... I can't believe that they want you to work and it doesn't matter how much your income is as long as your hourly rate is under $30.00 and they said they they want you to be denied from FAFSA because the money comes from the same place, plus you can apply for other scholarships from the school. I am very excited.....:yeah:

yes vonneG, broward has it too. word on the street is that its more harder to obtain because broward population is very large. im not for sure though as i live in palm beach. but its always worth a try.

i will do some reaserch on this as i will be going to school in Broward i have other scholarships available but the application period doesnt open up till December 1st . let me know if you need the info. they are small amounts $500-$1000 but you get like 3 of them...in the end its a like a big chunk. these scholorships are easy to get... as you know com. colleges are not that expensive so you will be getting a sweet refund each quarter.

yea yea i know i have a lots of info as my friends would say. i work on the computer all day at work , so when im not sueing Nurses, i surf the net and look up all sorts of information and resources. there are many sources to help individuals for school and home eg. help you pay your electric bill, help you pay your rent, money to buy your first home (15k to be exact) etc etc.

thunter pm me i will set you up on other programs and that give you some financial help while your attending school.

2BNURSE1,

are there any other scholarships that I could apply for that you know about. I am trying to get funds for the medical exam and shots which is around $500.00 and the tuition. Thanks so much for the other info.....

2bnurse-1, I sent you a private message.

thank you

I also called the workforce alliance yesterday and spoke with someone there. It sounds AWESOME! I get school paid for just because I want to be an RN! How incredible, and thanks so much!!!!:-)
