God bless her and her condescending ways!
If anyone didn't catch her words of wisdom at RCN Congress yesterday, you can watch on-line at the link below

She really does know how to make friends and influence people.
I'm taking odds on how long she's got left in post.
Cheers

Hey Y'all!!!
I caught a reference to the Nat'l Health Service's Boss getting booed by a confab of UK Nurses in this mornings paper. It was just a short paragraph in a story about TonyBlairs recent declining popularity. So I didn't learn what the particular issue is, that lead to the booing.
Could someone enlighten us former colonials?
Thanx

I was actually there - in the conference when all of this happened! It was amazing!
I have just returned home and wow. I have been on TV interviewed by the national press etc etc. It was truly a momentous occassion.
Patricia Hewitt admitted she had allowed overspending to continue for quite some time, and she also admitted she wasn't aware of some government health reform - the woman needs to be kicked out of office - if we allowed overspending or admitted not knowing our organisational policies we would be sacked!
It was really good to see nurses standing up and being counted - if she wasn't aware how we all feel before, she sure is now! A day that will go down in history...
