i did not passed!

Published

after 3weeks of waiting, i found out yesterday that i didn't passed! huhuhuhu... i felt bad, don't know what to do now... i studied kaplan and saunders and took nclex type questions almost everyday (100 questions/day). i didn't know that i stopped at 99 items,. i only have 1 above passing and 3 near passing then 4 below passing. do i need to have above passing or near passing is enough to pass nclex? maybe if i enroll in a review center i will passed it the first time.. bec. atleast i have guidance there while reviewing and there are people who can motivate me...and my mom felt sad bec. i received it in the middle of her bday celeb yesterday... huhuhuhuhu

Sorry to hear about that.. :sniff: I know how you feel, I also failed in my first try, went to the grieving process and Im preparing now for the second. I have prepared with Kaplan in my first but I guess Kaplan's not for me. This second time, Im preparing with Saunder's Comprehensive Review 4TH edition for content and the Saunder's CD for the Q and A portion (planning to do an NCSBN course after I finished Saunders.. :)) Take a week off for now.. Just relax, watch a movie, go hangout with your family and friends, etc. then after a week, you should start preparing again! We will pass with dedication, determination, hardwork and God's help. Goodluck to both of us!:)

Sorry to hear that. I also dont know what I will feel if it happens to me. I have not receive my result yet. Just remember 1 thing, KEEP FIGHTING!:jester:

I'M SORRY TO HEAR THAT U FAILED :bluecry1:. I KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO TELL UR MOM ON HER B-DAY. I ALSO FAILED THE FIRST TRY AND I'M PREPARING TO TAKE IT AGAIN. THE GOOD THING IS, (I GUESS IT'S A GOOD THING, THAT YOU CAN TAKE IT AS MANY TIMES AS U NEED. AT LEAST 8 TIMES A YEAR IN MY STATE, NOT SAYING THAT EITHER US WILL EVEN NEED THAT MANY CHANCES!!!!!:wink2:) WITH THAT BEING SAID, TAKE A BREAK AND THEN GET BACK IN THE GROOVE OF STUDYING AGAIN. OH, I THINK YOU WERE QUESTIONING WETHER OR NOT U NEEDED TO HAVE "ABOVE PASSING" IN EVERY CATEGORY...UNFORTUNATELY U DO. LET ME KNOW WHEN IT'S CLOSE TO TIME FOR YOU TO SIT FOR BOARDS AND I WILL PRAY FOR YOU. AND I WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU. WE WILL BE NURSES!!!!!

P.S. I'M PREPARING THIS TIME BY LISTENING TO HURST REVIEW ONLINE .

HAVE A GOOD DAY.

thank you for all your support.. i really2x appreciate it, especially now... aniwei life still goes on...:cry:right now, i am looking for a job to have some money again to register and to sched my nclex exam. i used to have a sponsor before. i think he already given up for my first try bec. he didn't offer anything after hearing that... i did my best... but aniwei a big thanx for his BIG heart...:redbeathe. plz pray for me to find a new sponsor so that i won't be thinking of another problem. it's easy to say relax and take a break, then afterwards take sometym to review again,. but in my reality, i need to work to save for my nclex expenses and for the review center.

yup, it's really hard telling my mom happy birthday with a failed result in my hand...:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: sometimes i would asked god why not today or the day before yesterday...i made my mom cried on her bday but not in happiness but with my failures... hay.... all i can do now is to accept that it is one of his plans... maybe good things will come after this...

a BIG Thank you to all of you....

All of the sections need to be above passing, near passing unfortunately is not passing for that section.

I would focus on preparing for the exam as if you have never written it, do not focus on this past exam as none of the same questions will be on the next exam. I would also prepare first before even considering a test date again. It is not even a point of finding a sponsor for this exam, suspect that you trained out of the US; and we are under a retrogression at this time.

It is easy to do the review on your own, you do not need a review center for it. Suggest that you check out my program that can be found as a sticky at the top of this forum. I would also recommend waiting at least a week before starting any type of preparation again.

Best of luck to you.

I felt the same way too..I failed my 1st attempt last july28'08 with 75Questions and almost all of the categories in my performance test result stated that I was below the passing standard (on 6 categories=below standard) and I had 2 categories with near passing standard. I was truly devasted...even now, that I'm trying to get back on track here studying again.

Marie

I had near passing on all of mine except for the psychology part which I thought was hilarious seeing I have a degree in psych and worked for 8 years in that role..Just keep plugging away you can do it

i mean... my dad's boss gave me money to take nclex exam here in the philippines. he bcame my sponsor when i was studying for nclex. 400 dollars in the states is equal to less than 20 thousand pesos here.. if i can only find another person who can give me 400 dollars then i won't have to worry for my nclex exam. he gave me some money as my gift when i passed my local exam here. now, i don't have any reasons for him to still give me that big amount of money...

to all the people who replied thank you so much! we can do it the second time. let's pray hard and work double time...

Take a break and come back to it then. I would suggest giving Suzanne's Plan consideration. Study for the test as though you have not tested before. I am so sorry you did not pass this time. GOOD LUCK!!! ((( Hugs )))
