  1. I'm so glad you passed!!!!:yeah: Congratulations RN!!!!!!!!!:nurse::nurse:
  2. JLnurse4life, I hope you get this thread. I'm new to this website, so I'm still trying to figure out how everything works. Anyway, I was wondering how you prepared for boards for the 3rd time. I am preparing for boards for the 3rd time by answering questions (not everyday, but at least 100 at a time), and looking at Hurst Review online. It's ironic that you said you wrote on an index card " I can and will pass NCLEX". I watched Oprah one day and she was talkn about the Laws of Attraction" where if u see and think positive things, positive things happen to you. With that being said, I made a vison board and I slapped my graduation picture up there and wrote under it, "Passing State Boards". It's in an awkward position, and I don't look at it everyday, so I think I'm gonna make out me an index card too, and put it in my mirror, in the bathroom, because I definitely look in that mirror everyday. I hope you reply back.
  3. First of all welcome! I am studying to re-take boards again for the 3rd time also. I'm not sure when though, maybe late November or early December. I am preparing by using Marlene Hurst's online review. Her review is supposed to have a 98% pass rate. I'm also answering questions from the NCLEX 3000 cd. I have a Kaplan book, but it didnt work for me. I also purchased Marlene Hurst's review book from Barnes and Nobles. I hope that you do well the 3rd time around! Have a good day.
  4. I know you're nervous, but try to do something that takes your mind off your test results. Watch your favorite movie or read a good book. I'll pray that you did well.
  5. I too have failed boards twice and I'm preparing for round 3. I know exactly how you feel when it comes to family and friends. I quit my job also, for 2 reasons though: I failed boards and couldn't stand the way everyone looked down on me and 2: I had a horrible preceptor and one more day under her I was definitely gonna catch case!!!! then I defeinitely wouldn't be able to sit for boards. I haven't kept in touch with anybody I graduated with, except my BFF. People can be so critical these, but who cares. I'm going to keep studying and take it again and pass, and so will u!!!!!!! have a good day,and stay positive.
  6. LOL!!! U DEFINITELY HAVE A LAID BACK PERSONALITY ABOUT BOARDS. ON ANY OTHER OCCASION I WOULD BE TOO, BUT BOARDS.....NO, AND IT'S SO WEIRD. I CAN AGREE WITH YOU THOUGH ON SOME POINTS THAT YOU MENTIONED. I THINK IF I WAS WELL OFF OR JUST FINANCIALLY COMFORTABLE, I WOULD GO IN THERE AND TAKE IT WITHOUT STUDYING. WITH THAT BEING SAID, IT'S EXTREMELY HARD TO COME ACROSS $300 TO KEEP RETAKING THAT HORRIBLE EXAM.!!! I HOPE YOU DID WELL, BUT IF YOU DIDN'T, I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT FEELING BAD AND GOING INTO A DEPRESSIVE STATE. HAVE A GOOD DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I Will Definitely Pray For You. Do Well!!!!
  8. I Would Like To Join The Pray Forum, But I Do Not Have A Test Date Yet. Until Then, I Will Pray For Those That Have Test Dates.
  9. I'M SORRY TO HEAR THAT U FAILED . I KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO TELL UR MOM ON HER B-DAY. I ALSO FAILED THE FIRST TRY AND I'M PREPARING TO TAKE IT AGAIN. THE GOOD THING IS, (I GUESS IT'S A GOOD THING, THAT YOU CAN TAKE IT AS MANY TIMES AS U NEED. AT LEAST 8 TIMES A YEAR IN MY STATE, NOT SAYING THAT EITHER US WILL EVEN NEED THAT MANY CHANCES!!!!!:wink2:) WITH THAT BEING SAID, TAKE A BREAK AND THEN GET BACK IN THE GROOVE OF STUDYING AGAIN. OH, I THINK YOU WERE QUESTIONING WETHER OR NOT U NEEDED TO HAVE "ABOVE PASSING" IN EVERY CATEGORY...UNFORTUNATELY U DO. LET ME KNOW WHEN IT'S CLOSE TO TIME FOR YOU TO SIT FOR BOARDS AND I WILL PRAY FOR YOU. AND I WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU. WE WILL BE NURSES!!!!! P.S. I'M PREPARING THIS TIME BY LISTENING TO HURST REVIEW ONLINE . HAVE A GOOD DAY.
