Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello all my fellow nurses! (Just because you may have not passed the nclex does not mean you're not a nurse)

I want to say first off- after you're done reading this please do not read any more testimonies. You must find your own nitch. I too as many of you, would spend countless hours while researching - what did she/he do? How many questions- how did they prepare ect ect. while

obtaining advice from others is AWESOME it can also leave you IN A PANIC. Never compare yourself, and especially DO NOT COMPARE YOUR SCORES WITH OTHERS! Trust me, everyone is different and every test is different. Of course all of this is just my opinion. I just told myself I would share what I did if I passed.

1st time around- I did Kaplan. Kaplan was great. Lots of questions and content. However, I didn't Pass my first time. I am not posting my scores because again it doesn't matter! We are all different and every test is different. I also had a terrible attitude towards myself and my ability to pass.

-when I found out I didn't pass I was devastated and heart broken. I was so mean spirited and down. I gained a lot some weight and inatnstly found myself in a depression. Please if you are here in this spot.... Brush your shoulders off, cry it out and give yourself a hug and get back to it. You passed nursing school YOU CAN DO THIS. I promise confidence is key. People say questions content content blah blah. No! If you don't believe in yourself how in the world do you expect anything positive to happen? We may not know each other but I HAVE FAITH IN YOU!

Anyways.

Second time- I changed my attitude. I picked myself up, dusted my shoulders off and moved on. I honestly have to say along with my positive attitude i owe this to the book called--- PRIORTIZATION AND DELEGATION BY-LaCharity. Guys this book is amazing!!!!!!!!!! It's tricky and gets your mind working but that's what we want. Another thing . I

took my time with things. There is no rush to get so much done. Take the time to understand things. I also

did NCSBN. It was an overload of information but wow so so helpful. These too combined got me to the finish line, but not without faith and confidence.

along side of these things. I started working out. I got acupuncture (groupon) I had terrible anxiety that would put me into some crazy tachycardia! I also took some herbal supplements recommended by the accupumcturist called - Tian wang bu xin Dan- it helps with relaxation and healthy blood flow. Three days beforey test I got a massage.

I know i wrote a ton im sorry. Just be confident guys. Love yourself. Have faith you can do this and as crazy as it sounds talk to yourself and remind yourself of your self worth! You are

smart and special and you deserve to fulfill your dream, and If you're spiritual pray... God can only help you if he hears your prayer. remember all good things come to those who wait.

Please contact me if you need any motivation or just someone to

tslk to!! I don't mind at all, we are one. I know you all can do this!!!!!!

Stay positive xoxo

My reason for posting this was to give inspiration and positive self worth. Not to bring anyone down. You read way too much into my comment, moving you to feel the need to post on it. You have been a nurse for 4 years as I can see... Being an a more experienced nurse you should only bring positive vibes and comments. Yes, YOU ARE VERY RIGHT, everyone knows you need to pass the NCLEX to be a RN. Being a nurse comes in many forms... I am not going to go back and forth with you.

I hope your wishes are sincere. Thank you for your comment! Glad we could clear that up =)

To all of you studying.. NURSEEEEEEEEEE ON... I strongly suggest actually never logging into this site again, as some comments may deter you and steer you off of your track of concentration. Keep going and STAY POSITIVE!

I still can not privately respond to your message =( It won't let me!

I agree with everything you said...very sad and sillly...but Ignore it and keep pushing =)

Surround yourself with positive people. If that means cutting off friends or even family while you are studying and preparing yourself for this journey then so be it. do whatever it takes!!

Yesssssssss NCSBN was very overwhelming... It is TONS of information but really great information. Don't overwhelm yourself, try and do what you can for the day. Everyday tell you self today I will complete chapter ___ and do 2 chapters from the LaCharity book. Get the 5 week session for NCSBN. There are a lot of questions at the end of the program, while they are good I don't feel they are as hard as the nclex. I didn't get a chance to finish all of NCSBN I made sure I really focused on the main areas (it is broken up into chapters for you) and I also focused on the areas I was below in....Don't worry if you don't finish everything you wanted that day. Tomorrow is a new day to begin. It's all about staying calm....you're studying and working that's what matters!!

again sorry it wont let me respond to you in a private message =(((

You are the best😉😉

To the OP, I understand what you are trying to say about being a nurse by having compassion and caring about people, etc. Don't cheapen your hard work (OUR hard work) by basically saying anyone that holds those qualities is a nurse. Using that rationale, I may as well call myself a doctor. The license is NOT what defines everything the nurse is, but it is what gives you the title. That's really a fact, not opinion. Registered Nurse is a very specific title in this country. I mean I can't call myself a lawyer just because I like to argue about justice, or a reverend because I like to talk about religion.

I'm not saying this out of maliciousness or to start a fight, but because I'm proud to have the title that I worked for and it does bother me a little when people who truly aren't nurses claim to be one. It just cheapens it.

Nothing wrong with being a caring, compassionate person who's concerned about other's wellbeing......but it doesn't make you a nurse.

Goodness gracious. I give up. Lol. I apologize you took my words so literally.

leelio- good luck to you kind soul, I'm sorry but I'm going to erase this post I can't stand to even see posts like this.

If if only the world could just relax.

I think some of you guys misunderstood the purpose of this post. It's meant to encourage those who haven't passed yet. She's saying to stay strong and study smart so that they can get their licenses.

The best book I studied with was the NCLEX RN Exam Cram! I learned more from that book than I ever did in school! Good job to you for passing the NCLEX!
