Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello all my fellow nurses! (Just because you may have not passed the nclex does not mean you're not a nurse)

I want to say first off- after you're done reading this please do not read any more testimonies. You must find your own nitch. I too as many of you, would spend countless hours while researching - what did she/he do? How many questions- how did they prepare ect ect. while

obtaining advice from others is AWESOME it can also leave you IN A PANIC. Never compare yourself, and especially DO NOT COMPARE YOUR SCORES WITH OTHERS! Trust me, everyone is different and every test is different. Of course all of this is just my opinion. I just told myself I would share what I did if I passed.

1st time around- I did Kaplan. Kaplan was great. Lots of questions and content. However, I didn't Pass my first time. I am not posting my scores because again it doesn't matter! We are all different and every test is different. I also had a terrible attitude towards myself and my ability to pass.

-when I found out I didn't pass I was devastated and heart broken. I was so mean spirited and down. I gained a lot some weight and inatnstly found myself in a depression. Please if you are here in this spot.... Brush your shoulders off, cry it out and give yourself a hug and get back to it. You passed nursing school YOU CAN DO THIS. I promise confidence is key. People say questions content content blah blah. No! If you don't believe in yourself how in the world do you expect anything positive to happen? We may not know each other but I HAVE FAITH IN YOU!

Anyways.

Second time- I changed my attitude. I picked myself up, dusted my shoulders off and moved on. I honestly have to say along with my positive attitude i owe this to the book called--- PRIORTIZATION AND DELEGATION BY-LaCharity. Guys this book is amazing!!!!!!!!!! It's tricky and gets your mind working but that's what we want. Another thing . I

took my time with things. There is no rush to get so much done. Take the time to understand things. I also

did NCSBN. It was an overload of information but wow so so helpful. These too combined got me to the finish line, but not without faith and confidence.

along side of these things. I started working out. I got acupuncture (groupon) I had terrible anxiety that would put me into some crazy tachycardia! I also took some herbal supplements recommended by the accupumcturist called - Tian wang bu xin Dan- it helps with relaxation and healthy blood flow. Three days beforey test I got a massage.

I know i wrote a ton im sorry. Just be confident guys. Love yourself. Have faith you can do this and as crazy as it sounds talk to yourself and remind yourself of your self worth! You are

smart and special and you deserve to fulfill your dream, and If you're spiritual pray... God can only help you if he hears your prayer. remember all good things come to those who wait.

Please contact me if you need any motivation or just someone to

tslk to!! I don't mind at all, we are one. I know you all can do this!!!!!!

Stay positive xoxo

So sorry, I would love to but I am unable to send a private message. :-(

i passed with 123! congrats to you!

Wooohooo!!!! Yayayayayay!!

being a nurse takes many qualities other than a test.. Compassion, love, social skills I could go on and on but I refuse to facilitate a conversation with a antagonistic person like yourself. You're the type of nurse who's compassion should be questioned. So! If you wouldn't mind...Take your negativity and your LOL somewhere else. Thanks!

NURSE GINA :)

Really her compassion should be questioned b/c she stated a FACT? No your logic should be questioned. You can have all the compassion, love and social skills in the world..and if you don't pass the Nclex you will still not be a nurse.

Trying to do the 15 posts to respond to you! 😊 thank you though ttysoon

the test doesn't define who you are as a nurse whether you take it once of five times í ½í¸Š

the test doesn't define who you are as a nurse whether you take it once of five times

Where did I state that the number of times taken defines you as a nurse? Please retire the strawman and do not attempt to make this discussion about how many times it takes one to pass the NCLEX.

What I said was, if you don't pass the Nclex you are not a nurse. This is not something to debate as this is a FACT.

ROFL....you post a thread that says READ ME!! and then tell people that once they have read what YOU have to say about how to prepare for NCLEX, to stop reading what others have to say on the subject....TOO funny! :D

the test doesn't define who you are as a nurse whether you take it once of five times

While the test doesn't "define who you are", it most certainly defines whether or not you are in fact, a nurse, period.

You only have to pass it ONCE, but you do have to pass it, to be a nurse in the first place. ;)

It takes MANY things to be a great nurse---including a LICENSE. Which cannot be granted until one passes that silly test. Your decision to spin things into a name-calling response speaks volumes about you and how you will respond in the real world when someone points out a FACT to you.I wish you well in your exciting new career. I have even bigger wishes for your future patients and coworkers.I have no negativity in this. It's simple, honest truth that your friends/fellow nursing students are NOT nurses until the NCLEX is successfully behind them.
Yes Bucky we all know that you aren't considered a "nurse" until you have a license but it takes a lot more than a license I've met a lot of "NURSE's" that shouldn't be "NURSE's", there should also be a live interview, I'm glad to have someone like Gina post that "fellow Nurse's" because that gives us hope and all the years in school wasn't for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!
My reason for posting this was to give inspiration and positive self worth. Not to bring anyone down. You read way too much into my comment, moving you to feel the need to post on it. You have been a nurse for 4 years as I can see... Being an a more experienced nurse you should only bring positive vibes and comments. Yes, YOU ARE VERY RIGHT, everyone knows you need to pass the NCLEX to be a RN. Being a nurse comes in many forms... I am not going to go back and forth with you. I hope your wishes are sincere. Thank you for your comment! Glad we could clear that up =)To all of you studying.. NURSEEEEEEEEEE ON... I strongly suggest actually never logging into this site again, as some comments may deter you and steer you off of your track of concentration. Keep going and STAY POSITIVE!
Thanks Gina, and Congrats! Some how this site has some negative people. I will stay positive!
