Passed NCLEX with 69 questions

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took the NCLEX RN the first time on February 14th. I honestly didn't feel prepared and I got the whole entire test and failed. The first time I studied using the NCSBN review which was a big mistake. Since I failed I wanted to try a different review program. I purchased Uworld with 1 self assessment. I did about 100-150 questions each day. These questions were really hard but I studied all the rationals. Two days before I took my exam I did the self assessment. I felt like I was getting on the questions wrong but I ended up getting a 73% which meant I had a very high chance of passing NCLEX. Took the exam and computer shut off at 69. I felt much more relaxed and prepared after using World. I tried the Pearson due trick and it really doesn't work

Ahh sorry I haven’t answered but I did fail again I am so upset I’ve been in a funk since I found out because I thought the exam easy I wasn’t expecting this. Not sure what to do at this point I’m extremely discouraged ?

Don't give up hope, I know it's easier said than done. Just take a few weeks off and come up with a study plan. What did you differently from the first and second time?

CONGRATS!! how many weeks did you do 150 questions a day for? I failed the first time and then long story short realized I needed some time to take care of myself. It has been about 7 months but I'm motivated as ever and want to be a nurse. I'm about to purchase uworld and download mark klimeck lectures. Any tips on figuring out how long I will need to study since I've been out of the game for awhile?

You need to do 25 in morning in tutorials mode and 25 at night without tutorial ..

Every week you need to be adding 10 question per week.

You need to do a practice test every sat 75 questions on sat and remidate on sat night.

Sunday you need to review everything in the notebook from that week. That will be you relax day

Every morning you wake up you need to do a chapter in the lacharity book it's only 40 questions .

Then study your labs then do the 25 quiz mentioned above .

I was doing 150 a day because I finished the lacharity book after 2-3 week and substituted the questions I would have done with 75 question.

You have to treat the NCLEX like a serious full time job...6am-5pm

While you are eating 8am 12pm 5pm look at your questions notebook from the day before

Naw...don't be nervous ..do 75 questions remediate and study Mark k notes . Then take a break then do it again..then do it again.. shut it off at 5pm then study notes at night...

I'm making a point to do my practice test at the same time I do my NCLEX

Thanks....have you done your yet?
