I passed the Nclex RN on 8/10/14 on a Sunday, was scheduled for 8am but didn't sit down and start till about 8:15, due to the check in process. Anyway, after starting the test I was hoping to see the computer shut off at 75, so when I saw 76 I was a little concerned but didn't panic. After two hours I was around question # 90 something and the computer asked if I wanted a break so I took it and went to the bathroom had a few sips of water came back, and finished around 125 questions. I was out at about 10:45 am. Within 15 minutes of leaving the exam I tried the pearson vue trick and got the good pop up! I felt relieved because I knew this meant There was a good chance I passed but still not wanting to trust it 100% it being a Sunday and so soon after testing.( YouTube has a couple of videos on how to do the pvt ). Tuesday morning between 6:30 am and 7:15 am my license was active on the BON website! For review while in school I used Lippincott q&a review nclex RN, and Saunders for review of content only because their questions were too easy and nothing like what I saw on nclex. After graduation I took about 6 weeks doing kaplan on demand. Their questions were the closest to nclex I've seen thus far from any other reviews out there. So here are my scores : Diagnostic test 63
Q trainers: Q1- 61
Q2- 68
Q3- 56
Q4- 63
Q5- 59
Q6- 59
Q7- 59
Readiness test 59%
I completed 100% of the Qbank and went over about 50% of the content lectures on the areas I really was weak in or forgot. Don't stress over scores like I've read on here so many times, I think as long as you can score at least mid to high 50's like they say and read your rationales you should be ok. Kaplan was all I used for the 6 weeks I reviewed.

I'm doing kaplan right now and those tests and qbank questions are so hard for me. But I'm doing to keep practicing I have 5 weeks til I take the test! So I'm doing the 5 week study plan kaplan provides!
Thank you!!! Keep doing those Kaplan questions. They will prep you for the NCLEX EXAM. STAY POSITIVE!!! Do 100 questions/day. I also did 265 once per week. (The day before three 265 questions, I would relax and not focus on anything nclex lol, as if it was the real exam!!) And time yourself, that's very important!!! Lot's of praying!!
I'm wishing you the best of luck!!!
Btw, the RN RESIDENCY ER POSITION is completely awesome!!!!! Feels incredible to have RN letters behind my name!!! Yipppeeee!

Congratulations!!! I'm taking mine next week, freaking out a little hearing all the SATA's my classmates have been getting! I'm using the Kaplan as well and really liking it, do you find that the NCLEX is easier than Kaplan?

There are many links that give the CORRECT information regarding the CURRENT "trick" as of late AUGUST 2014. The Pearson Vue website has changed in regards to how you can check the "trick" pass or fail. You do have to input your credit card info, and press SUBMIT, and be willing to have your cc charged in you did in fact fail.
I took mine nclex RN this labor day weekend, AUG 30th at 8am. MY second time taking it. It shut off at 105 questions, about 75% SATA, no peds, no calculations, no labs, no ekg, a lot of who would you see first. Once I got home, the "old" trick did not work as it took me to the credit card page, but my husband googled that Pearson Vue has changed the trick 2 days prior! So with that, I did put my cc info, clicked SUBMIT, and I got the good pop up! But with all the new changes I was not sure to believe this 100%. Sooooo....
You DO get your results in 48hrs, even if it is a holiday weekend! This morning I payed the $7.95 and got my unofficial results. I PASSED!!!
Hope this information will help future nclex takers and puts their minds at ease :)
