I am trying to get ready to test this one. Did you use the EC practice exam?

Specializes in ED.

I used Saunders and the Excelsior practice tests as my primary study sources and passed.

I have taken the first one and got a 58%. I don't fell like that is very good at all, but I was wondering how other people did. I was wondering also if anyone took both test after they studied the material or did one before and the other after.

Congrats to the OP for passing LS1!!! :-)

I usually take the first one cold before I study to give me a direction to focus in and then the next one about a week before my test. Just remember the practice tests are not graded like the actual exam, they are just 1 pt a peice scored out of 100%. The exam has multiple weighted sections, check on your content guide but I think for LS1 it's like 44% for one and 43% for the other two (130 questions). I scored a 72% on my first one and a 86% on my second one and I got an A on the actual exam.

Good luck!

Specializes in med/surg, geriatrics, corrections.

Beach...just one question...I see under the heading "nursing specialty" you have Telemetry and PCU listed....could that have had something to do with you passing with an A..hmmm???? :)
