Passed Lifespan 1..thank goodness

Published

I passed Life Span 1 today...with a "C" ...i'll take it. I hate cardio/resp..so I am so glad to get this over with.

Thanks. That is pretty helpful.

I used the EC practice exams, an NCLEX PN review book (i got it at the beginning of LPN school and found it a few weeks ago ..it had never been used) and a Med surg book from LPN school. If you need any more pointers, you may PM me and I will help. I know I didnt study as much as I should have, I am in the middle of moving to Germany.

Beach...just one question...I see under the heading "nursing specialty" you have Telemetry and PCU listed....could that have had something to do with you passing with an A..hmmm???? :)

Possibly, but I got an A on Repro too and the only child I've ever taken care of is the one I gave birth to :-)

I don't think I am studying the right material. I am using the college network book, but it seems very dry and to the point. How much do you study before you take a test? Maybe I will try my nclex review book to help.

Depends on the content of the exam. I have never dealt with any of the publish companies. I use the excelsior recommended texts and the Saunders Comprehensive review. I have prepared in less than 3 days for an exam and passed and I have studied for 3 months for an exam and didn't complete it successfully. I highly recommend the practice exams in most instances. ~Good Luck

What or How did you study? I have the books recommended by Excelsior. It is a lot of reading. For the most it's a review far Cardio. Is their ant clep notes for Life Span 1?

Passed with a B!!!!!! Thanks for the help on this one. Time to start LS2.

The school that I am applying to has nursing across life span I,II, and III. Is that the same as med surg I,II,III? Can someone please explain what the class consist of? thanks.

What school are you applying to? I only know about excelsior college courses, but the school should give you a summary of what each on is about.
